I. Grammar: Comparison degrees
1. Equal: S1 + V/ be + as + adv/ adj + as + S2 “O”
Example: + He is as tall as his father
	 + Mai is as beautiful as her mother
	 + John sings as well as his sister.
2. Comparative degree: (Short) adv/ adj-er
 S1 + V/ be + more (long) adv/ adj + than + S2
Example: + Today it is hotter than yesterday.
 + She is taller than me
 + He drives faster than me
 + He is much more fatter than me.
3. Superlative: (Short) adv/ adj-est
 S + V/ be + the most (long) adv/ adj + C
Example: + He is the tallest boy in his family.
 + He is the most selfish person I’ve met.
=> NOTE: Một sè tÝnh tõ vµ tr¹ng tõ bÊt quy t¾c lµ 1 ©m tiÕt (ng¾n), khi ®æi sang cÊp h¬n vµ nhÊt cã d¹ng sau:
 Good g better g the best
 Well 
 Bad g worse g the worst
 Badly
 Far g farther / further g the farthest.
 Little g less g the least
 Much / many g more g the most
4. Double comperative:
* Form1: ( Cµng ngµy cµng .. h¬n)
 (Short) adv/ adj-er and adv/ adj-er
 S + V/ be + more and more + (long) adj/ adv(ly) 
Example: + It is hotter and hotter in summer
 + My children are more and more intelligent.
 + We write English more and more carefully.
* Form2: (Cµng.., th× cµng .)
 adv/ adj (er) adv/ adj (er)
 The + (more) adv/ adj S + V/ be . . . , The + (more) adv/ adj S + V/ be . . .
Eg: + The more expensive this bed is, the more comfortable it becomes / is.
 + The more we learn, the more we know.
