B. PRONUNCIATION:
* -ed (Verb endings)
 Đuôi –ed sau các động từ được phát âm như sau:
- /t/ : p, k, sh, ch, gh, th, ss, c, x
 Ex: helped, looked, washed, watched, laughed, breathed, kissed, danced, fixed.
- /id/ : t, d
 Ex: wanted, needed.
- /d/: các trường hợp còn lại
 Ex: called, cleaned, offered, damaged, loved, used, followed, enjoyed, amazed.
C. GRAMMAR:
I. Although, despite, in spite of: (Mặc dù)
 - Although + S + V + (O)
 Ex: Although he is so young, he performs excellently.
 - Despite/ In spite of + a noun/ a noun phrase
 Ex: Despite/ In spite of being so young, he performs excellently.
 Or: Despite/ In spite of his young age, he performs excellently.
II. However/Nevertheless (Tuy nhiên, tuy thế mà)
 Ex: He is so young. However/ Nevertheless, he performs excellently.
III. -Ed and –ing adjectives: Cacs tính từ có đuôi “ed” và “ing”
* Chúng ta có thể tạo ra tính từ bằng cách thêm đuôi –ed hoặc –ing ở cuối một số động từ.
 Ex: interested, interesting, bored, boring, ..
* Chúng ta có thể sử dụng những tính từ có đuôi –ed để diễn tả cảm xúc của một người.
 Ex: The film was long, and I was bored.
* Chúng ta có thể sử dụng những tính từ có đuôi –ing để diễn tả những sự vật, sự việc hoặc người mà gây ra những cảm giác đó cho người khác.
 Ex: The film was long, and boring.

 My favourite movie is cartoon “Tom and Jerry”. Tom is a cat with blue and white color. He keeps the house for a normal family and has a very free life. His job is chasing Jerry day by day. Jerry is a brown house mouse. He usually lives in the deep cave behind the wall. Although they hate each other so much and always find ways to hurt the opponent but when Tom or Jerry falls into really dangerous situations, then both become another savior. The film is an endless confrontation between Tom and Jerry, bring plenty of laughter for the audiences. I love this film because when I watch it I feel very glad, feeling like returned to my childhood.
