WEEK 26 Period: 93 Monday March 10th 2014 UNIT 15: My Dream House Lesson 3: Period 1 (part 1 and 2) (Class: 5A, 5C, 5B, 5D) I. Overview: 1. OBJECTIVES: -By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to ask and answer questions about facilities in a dream house. 2. LANGUAGE FOCUS: a. Vocabulary: +cable TV, hifi stereo, fridge, keep food fresh. b. Sentence patterns: + What will there be in your dream house? - There will be a robot. I’ll do it to do the housework. 3. TEACHING AIDS: - Student Book : Tieng Anh 5, Unit 15, Page 38. - Audio and visual aids: Recordings, flashcards. II. PROCEDURE: TIME Teacher's activities Students' activities 5’ 12’ 15’ 1’ 1’ I. Warm-up: - SS display their word cards.Then they ask and answer questions about the facilities in their dream house. II. New lesson: 1. Look listen and repeat. - Have pupils to open their books to page 38. Get Ss to look at the pictures and read the context sentence. Elicit their comments on the pictures and set the context: Tom and Nga are talking about things in their dream houses.. Read the lines in the pictures and check students’ comprehension. Teach the word do the housework and get Ss to repeat the word a few times. - Play the recording for pupils to listen all the way through. - Play the recording twice again for pupils to repeat sentence by sentence. - Divide the class into two groups to take turns to say the lines from Tom and Nga. - Play the recording again for pupils to repeat to reinforce their pronunciation. 2.
