I. ĐẶC ĐIỂM TèNH HèNH
Bối cảnh năm học:
Căn cứ Nghị quyết số 29- NQ/TW ngày 04 thỏng 11 năm 2013 Hội nghị lần thứ tỏm Ban Chấp hành Trung ương khúa XI về đổi mới căn bản, toàn diện giỏo dục và đào tạo, đỏp ứng yờu cầu cụng nghiệp húa, hiện đại húa trong điều kiện kinh tế thị trường định hướng xó hội chủ nghĩa và hội nhập quốc tế;
Căn cứ kế hoạch thực hiện nhiệm vụ năm học của trường THCS Nga Phỳ năm học 2014-2015 về việc xõy dựng trường Chuẩn Quốc Gia giai đoạn 1 
Thuận lợi.
Học sinh đã được làm quen với chương trình tiếng Anh cũng như đã được học với thầy 2 năm bộ môn này nên có hào hứng với việc học tập. Các em vốn là con nhà thuần nông nên dễ bảo.
Các em đã quen với phong cách cũng như phương pháp của thầy giáo.
Giáo viên nhiệt tình trong giảng dạy.
Các em đã có ý thức hơn trong việc học tiếng Anh để thi vào THPT
Khó khăn.
Là một môn học khó có phần khác về nền văn hoá và phong tục tập quán với tiếng Mẹ đẻ, hơn nữa nhiều em chưa chịu khó học bài ở nhà.
Là con nhà nông nên quỹ thời gian cho các em học còn hạn chế. Cha mẹ học sinh chưa quan tâm, mặt khác các em ở độ tuổi còn mải chơi và ý thức tự giác học chưa cao.
II. CÁC MỤC TIấU NĂM HỌC
Mục tiờu 1: Mục tiêu dạy học 
Việc dạy và học tiếng Anh ở THCS trước hết và quan trọng nhất là bám sát mục tiêu dạy học của môn học. Mục tiêu này được xác định trong chương trình môn tiếng Anh ở THCS. Cụ thể là: 
Dạy học môn tiếng Anh ở THCS nhằm giúp học sinh:
- Sử dụng tiếng Anh như một công cụ giao tiếp ở mức độ cơ bản dưới các dạng nghe, nói, đọc, viết.
- Có kiến thức cơ bản, tương đối hệ thống và hoàn chỉnh về tiếng Anh, phù hợp với trình độ, đặc điểm tâm lí lứa tuổi. 
- Có hiểu biết khái quát về đất nước, con người và nền văn hoá của một số nước nói tiếng Anh, từ đó có tình cảm và thái độ tốt đẹp đối với đất nước, con người, nền văn hoá và ngôn ngữ của các nước nói tiếng Anh; biết tự hào, yêu quí và tôn trọng nền văn hoá và ngôn ngữ của dân tộc mình.
Nói cụ thể hơn, mục tiêu dạy học tiếng Anh ở THCS nhằm vào hai yếu tố cơ bản: kĩ năng giao tiếp / kĩ năng ngôn ngữ.
Mục tiờu 2: Kiến thức ngôn ngữ
Tenses: present simple, present progressive, past simple, past progressive, future simple (including be going to), present perfect
Modal verbs: must, have to, ought to, should, may, can, could 
Question words, indirect questions with if and whether
Nouns: singular, plural, countable, uncountable
Adverbs of places, time, frequency, manner
Adjectives: attributive and predicative, comparatives and superlatives
Reflective pronouns
Prepositions of time, place, direction
Conjunctions of time
Reported speech: commands, requests and advice
Passive form
Indefinite qualifiers: a little, a lot/lots of, too much
Sequencing: first, next, then, after that, finally
Gerund and infinitive: like + gerund, like/preposition + infinitive, adjective + enough + infinitive
Requests with: Would / Do you mind if …? Would / Do you mind + V-ing?
Compound sentences with but, and, or
Complex sentences: adverbial clauses of time, place and reason
	Mục tiờu 3: Yêu cầu về kiến thức và kỹ năng
a. Kiến thức
- Tiếp tục giúp các em nâng cao trình độ tiếng Anh bằng cách phối hợp, rèn luyện các kĩ năng: Nghe – Nói - Đọc – Viết ở mức độ cao hơn thông qua các bài học cũng như các đoạn văn có nội dung phong phú, vinh động.
- Củng cố và nâng cao các cấu trúc đã học cũng như tạo cho các em cách nhìn nhận từ một hoặc nhiều câu để tìm ra cấu trúc mới trong quá trình học
b. Kỹ năng
Nghe:
Nghe hiểu nội dung chính các đoạn hội thoại hoặc độc thoại ngắn (khoảng 100-120 từ), đơn giản trong phạm vi các chủ điểm, chủ đề cũng như các hiện tượng ngôn ngữ được quy định trong chương trình.
Nói:
Nói được những câu giao tiếp đơn giản hàng ngày liên quan đến các chủ điểm và nội dung ngôn ngữ đã học trong chương trình.
Đọc:
Đọc hiểu nội dung chính các văn bản đơn giản với độ dài khoảng 150-180 từ trên cơ sở các chủ điểm và ngữ liệu đã học có kết hợp với suy luận và tra cứu từ điển. 
Viết:
Viết các đoạn văn có huớng dẫn với độ dài khoảng 80-90 từ liên quan đến các chủ đề và nội dung ngôn ngữ trong chương trình.

* Biện pháp thực hiện
Nâng cao chất lượng giảng dạy bằng nhiều biện pháp khác nhau.
Phân loại học sinh theo nhóm đối tượng để giúp học sinh học hỏi và giúp đỡ lẫn nhau trong quá trình học ở trường cũng như ở nhà.
Nghiên cứu tài liệu tham khảo, chọn phương pháp phù hợp với từng đối tượng học sinh.
Tự học, tự rèn luyện, học hỏi kinh nghiệm của đồng nghiệp.
Tham dự đầy đủ các đợt chuyên đề do cụm, huyện tổ chức.
Tăng cường dự giờ, thăm lớp. 
V. NHỮNG ĐỀ XUẤT
1. Đối với BGH – Nhà trường: 
+ Tăng cường cơ sở vật chất phục vụ dạy và học
+ Tạo mụi trường ngoại ngữ cho học sinh tham gia cỏc hoạt động ngoại ngữ.
+ Tổ chức tham quan học hỏi kinh nghiệm cỏc trường trong cụm cho GV và HS. 
2. Đối với PGD cấp trờn:
+ Tổ chức cỏc buổi tập huấn cho GV.
+ Tổ chức cỏc cuộc thi ngoại ngữ cho học sinh trong huyện.
+ Thi giao lưu ngoại ngữ cho học sinh trong huyện
