I. AIM : Help students understand the content of the dialogue by answering question and the way to make a call
II. LANGUAGE CONTENTS :
1. Grammar : (Review) 	Be going to.., Can I speak to.., Would you like.., Let’s... 
2. Vocabulary : (n) fax machine, telephone directory, address book, mobile phone, answering machine, 	 public telephone,
(adj) downstairs, upstairs 
(v)hold on 
III. TECHNIQUES : Rub out and remember, guessing, matching
IV. TEACHING AIDS :- Pictures, tape, cassette player, extra-board 
V. PROCEDURE :
TEACHER’S AND STUDENTS’ ACTIVITIES
CONTENT
- T asks Ss to look at 6 pictures and asks some questions
- Ss work in pairs, matching each objects ( pictures on page 18) with its names
- T calls some pairs to check the answers
- T gives the definitions of these objects on a poster and asks Ss to match the objects with its definition
- Ss work individually 
- T sets the scene” Hoa and Nga are taking on the phone.They are talking about going to see a movie” and T presents some new words (how to read and the way to use)
- Ss take note and practice pronunciation
-T checks up voacb.: rub out and remember
- T ask Ss to guess 
- Ss guess who did those things
- T asks Ss to listen to the tape
- Ss check their guessing
- Then Ss practice the conversation in pairs. Some pairs practice the dialogue in front of the class.
- T helps them with their pronunciation if possible
- Ss read the dialogue then answer some questions.
- Ss play roles of two Ss who are talking on the phone making arrangements (Ss change the information)
- T gives the homework on the board.
- Ss take note.
