Adjectives and adverbs: - Tính từ bổ nghĩa cho chủ ngữ, danh từ - Đứng trước danh từ / sau L.V - Trạng từ bổ nghĩa cho động từ - Đứng sau các động từ khác - Đứng trước quá khứ phân từ S + be / feel + ADJ He is slow. Hành động ngắn, bất ngờ xen vào: come/ came, see/ saw, meet/ met, be/ was,were, arrive/ arrived, hear / heard Hành động dài, xảy ra liên tục: talk/ talking, sleep / sleeping, drive/ driving/watch/ watching, learn/ learning, walk/ walking - When/ While + S +V2, S+ was/were +V-ing - While + S + was/were +V-ing, S+ was/were +V-ing 2. Adverb clauses of reason: v Mệnh đề trạng ngữ chỉ lí do bắt đầu bằng các liên từ because / as / since (vì, bởi vì) có thể đứng trước hoặc sau mệnh đề chính. Ex: I didn’t go to the cinema last night because I was tired. Because I was tired, I didn’t go to the cinema last night. v Ngoài cách dùng “because” chúng ta còn sử dụng as và since trong mệnh đề trạng ngữ chỉ lí do.Tuy nhiên cần chú ý đến một số điểm khác biệt nhau: - Chúng ta dùng“ because” chứ không dùng as khi trả lời câu hỏi WHY. Ex: Why did you go? I went because Tom told me to go. B.
