- Call some Ss to read the text.
- Introduce the topic of the lesson.
III/ New lesson: (35’)
1. Pre- writing:
- Introduce 3 parts of the speech first
- Explain the new.
- Guide Ss to read.
- Call Ss to read.
- Remark.
- Write the form of the speech with the three main parts.
2. While- reading: 
- Get Ss to look at the sentences and the form carefully then match each part of a speech in column A to a suitable function in column B.
- Call Ss to read.
- Read the text again and give the situations of it.
- Read it 2 times slowly and clearly.
- Ask Ss to read in silent.
- Call Ss to read part to part.
- Remark 
- Get Ss to read all the sentences then choose the best summary of the text.
- Call Ss to give out the ideas.
- Remark then gives the correct answer.
- Tell Ss to choose one of the topics in the book: recycling garbage, reusing paper and saving energy in the kitchen and then prepare a speech for the class
- Ask Ss to compare the writing with a friend
- Ss peer correction and comment on each other writing.
- Ss work in groups of four
- Call groups to deliver the speech
- Correct each part of a speech.
- Ss copy.
3. Post- reading:
- Call on some Ss to deliver the speech they have written in front of class
- Give comments on Ss’ performance, regarding pronunciation, body language, eye contact.

Good morning, ladies and gentlements.
Thank you for coming here today. I’m professor Hung, president of friends of the Earth. I’m going to tell you about the ways of reducing garbage.
Most of us use too much garbage everyday. You can reduce garbage by:
- Collecting plastic bags.
-Not keeping solid waste with food waste
- Putting different kind of waste in different places.
If you follow those simple rules, you’ll not only reduce garbage,but also keep the enviroment cleaner.
*Reusing paper:
Good morning everybody. I’m glad to be here this evening. My name is Nam. I come from grade 9A. I’m going to talk about reusing paper.
There are 3 ways to reuse paper. Firstly, we should have a separate waste basket for waste paper. Secondly, we should keep sheets with single printed page for drafting.
If you follow these simple rules, not only will you reduce garbage, but also you’ll save money.

Saving energy is our resposibility. We can save energy in the kitchen by :
- Turning off the lights
- Preparing food carfully before turning on the stove.
- Keeping the refrigerator door close.
If you follow these simple rulers not only will you save money but also the environment will be cleaner
