It was a beautiful day, so my friends and I decided to go on a picnic. We took a bus to the countryside, and then we walked about 20 minutes to the picnic site by the river.

 We put down our blankets and laid out the food.

 After the meal, we played games called “What song is it?” and “Blind man’s buff”.

 Late in the afternoon, we went fishing.

 We enjoyed our picnic very much.

 When we look at the time, it was nearly 6.30 pm, so we hurriedly gathered things and ran to the bus stop.

 We were very lucky because we caught the last bus and we arrived home very late in the evening.

* Skills: 
 + Write about topic “A countryside picnic” using the pictures and the cues.
 + Tell some notes in this writing: past tense, go picnic with whom ...

I. Organization: (1’)
- Greeting.
- Checking the attendance.
II. Checking the old lesson: (5’)
- Call one ss to read the text agian and answer the question
- Remark.
- Introduce the new lesson
III. New lesson: (35’)
1. Pre-writing: 
- Read the words then write them on the board.
- Give meaning and the situations of them.
- Read them first then get Ss. to read after 2 times.
- Call Ss to read.
- Remark then get Ss to read them after again.
- Explain the tense used in the writing
2. While-writing: 
- Get Ss to look at the pictures and the words or sentences provided carefully.
- Ask Ss to write a passage following the prompts. Give some more words to help Ss to write.
- Ask Ss to prepare about 10 minutes to work in group.
- Call Ss to give the ideas by writing on the board.
- Get others to remark.

3. Post-writing: 
- Teacher show the full writing on the board, call one student to read aloud
- Ask Ss to retell some notes in this writing: past tense, go picnic with whom. buy what, activities when have picnic, go home...
IV. Feedback: (3’)
- Sum up the whole lesson

- Do ex 10 (p25)
- Write a passage about their own picnic
- Prepare: Language focus.
