Objectives: Teaching aims: At the end of the lesson, students can introduce people and describe people. II. Language contents: 1. Vocabulary: Verbs: To seem , to look like . Nouns: a next door neighbor . 2. Structures: -What do / does . . . look like ? (What does she look like ?) -Adj / Adv + enough + to infinitive. Language contents: 1. Vocabulary: humorous (adj) 2. Grammar: Review III. Techniques: network, question-answer, eliciting IV. Teaching aids : poster V. Procedures : Teacher’s activities 1. Warm up : *Kim’s game : -Ask students to look at the picture on page 17 quickly (for 20 seconds ).Then let them keep their books closed . -Divide the class into four groups. -Give students three questions, the group which answers correctly the fastest wins the game. a. How many people are there in the picture? b. What does each person look like? b. What is each person wearing? Answer: a. There are four people in the pictures b. There is a tall, heavy-set man; there is a tall, thin woman with short hair; there is a boy sitting on the ground, holding his head, and there is a short man standing across the street. c. The man standing next to the taxi is wearing a yellow shirt and black trousers; the woman is carrying a shoulder bag, and is wearing a green skirt and red blouse. II. Language contents : 1. Vocabulary: Review 2. Grammar : Simple tenses Present simple to talk about general truths (not) Adj - enough + to-infinitive III. Techniques : picture description, question-answer IV. Teaching aids : pictures, posters, sub boards V. Procedures : Teacher’s activities 1. Warm up : * Categories : -Ask students to find out the adjectives beginning with the letters that the teacher gives. -Divide the class into two groups. -Give four letters at the same time, students are to find out four adjectives beginning with the four letters given. Example : a , b , c , d , g , l -The team which finishes first gets one mark. 2. Presentation +Vocabulary : Planet :( the sun ,the moon , the earth ), Mars , Mercury , silly , + Structures: -Present simple to talk about general truths - .. (not) Adj - enough + to-infinitive -Review simple present tense: formation ,usage -Focus on one of the usage of the Simple present tense .It is used to express an action which is always true . 3.
