I- Objectives:

- Listen for specific information about quantities for food shopping. “How much?” and “How many?” with “want” and “need” to talk about quantities for shopping.
- Developing: four skills.
II- Language content:
Grammar: Review new word and structure.
III- Teaching aids:
Text book, lesson plan, cassette tapes.
IV- Procedure:
1. Warm up:

Content
- Ask SS to recall the new words and structures
- Practice
Presentation:
- Have SS listen and notice the new words.
- Use pictures and ask student to say the names of things.
- Explain new structures.
- Listen to the cassette and notice the new words.
- Look at the pictures and do as the teacher asks.
2. Listen and repeat:
New words:
- kilo (n): ký
- half: nửa, 1/2
Structures:
How many eggs do you want? -> A dozen.
How much beef do you want? 
-> Two hundred grams.
Practice:
- Let them listen to the cassette and find out things that people want to buy.
- Let some of the SS answer and ask the whole class to listen again and check their answers.
- Check the students’ answers and correct if there are any mistakes.
- Let SS read the dialogue then make a shopping list and have SS read by themselves then do the exercises as quick as possible.
- Call some SS and ask them to do the exercises then check and correct the mistakes.
- Ask them to write the notes in their notebooks and learn by heart.
- Listen.
- Do the exercises.
- Match the names and the letters.
- Read the dialogue.
- Make a shopping list.
- Replace things in the dialogue with your own shopping list and rewrite the dialogue.
- Practice with a partner.
- Write.
- Take notes and learn by heart.
3. Match the names of the people with the things they want:
Phuong – d Ly – e, a
Mai – b Nam – c
Tape transcript:
- Phuong wants a tube of toothpaste.
- Ly wants a bar of soap and a box of chocolates.
- Mai wants a can of soda.
- Nam wants a packet of cookies.
4. Write the shopping list in your exercise book.
- A bottle of cooking oil.
- Two kilos of rice.
- Half a kilo of beef.
- Half a dozen of oranges.
Consolidation:
T. asks SS to reread the new words and notes.
Homework:
- Write the lesson into notebook.
- Prepare “Unit 11. Staying healthy. Section B: At the canteen( 1, 2, 3)” for the next time.

- sandwich (n): bánh xăng quých
- glass (n): cốc, ly
Practice:
- Let them review the words studied, look at the pictures and have them write the names of foods in the pictures on the boards. Check and correct.
- Introduce the situation of the new dialogue.
- Ask them to listen carefully and redo by their own.
- Practice in pairs.
- Asks SS some questions “what would you like for breakfast/lunch/dinner?”
- Let them answer, beginning with “I’d like ”
- Have them practice in pairs.
- Call some pairs and have them practice before the class.
- Correct the mistakes if there are.
- Look at the pictures and try to write the names of foods on the boards.

- Rewrite the dialogue in the notebooks.

3. Ask and answer:

Consolidation:
T. asks SS to practice asking and answering about “What they would like for dinner ?”. 
Homework:
- Write the lesson into notebook.
- Prepare “Unit 11. Staying healthy. Section B: At the canteen( 4, 5)” for the next time.

- Vocabulary: canteen, a fried rice, bowl, cake, lemon, lemon juice, ice - cream
III- Teaching aids:
Text book, lesson plan, cassette tapes.
IV- Procedure:
Warm up:

- Play games “Bingo”.
- Read.
- Choose four out the twelve words.
A can of soda, a bottle of water, some bananas, some rice, a glass of orange juice, some meat, some oranges, a bowl of noodles, some fish, some milk, some vegetables, some chicken
Presentation:
- Have SS listen and notice the new words.
- Use pictures and ask SS to say the names of things.
- Listen to the cassette and notice the new words.
New words:
- Canteen (n): Căng tin
- fried rice (adj): chiên, rán (chiên cơm)
- fried quá khứ của fry
- cent (n): đồng xu
- bowl (n): bát, tô, chậu
- cake (n): bánh ngọt
- lemon (n): chanh
- lemon juice (n): nước chanh
- ice _ cream (n): cà rem, kem 
Practice:
- Let them listen to the cassette carefully while looking at the pictures in part 1
- Listen and notice the names of the foods mentioned.
- Rewrite the names in the correct order.
- Listen to the cassette again and do their exercises.
- Let them listen the third time and then give them the key to exercises.
- Correct if there are mistakes.
- Listen to the cassette and notice the new words.
- Look at the pictures, notice the names of the foods.
- Rewrite them in correct order.
- Listen to the cassette and do the exercises.
- Listen again and check the answers whether they are right or wrong.
