 Competences:

- Know the names of some food and drink. They learn how to use “some” and “any” with there is/are , positive negative and yes/no questions to talk about food and drink.

- Developing: four skills.

II- Language content:

Grammar:

- Structures: + Is there any meat. -> I’d like some orange.

 Or -> No, there isn’t any meat.

+ What is there to drink/eat? -> There is some water/rice.

- Vocabulary: food, apple, orange, banana, water, milk, meat, fruit, rice

III- Teaching aids:

- Text book, lesson plan, cassette tapes.

1. Warm up:

- Use the cues given to make new dialogues.
- Explain the new words and structures.
- Make new dialogue with your partner.

4. Listen and repeat:
New words:
- want (v): muốn
- need (v): cần thiết
- matter (n): vấn đề
Structures:
- What would he like?
-> He’d like some orange juice.
What do you want?
-> I want a hot drink.
Practice:
- Have them listen to the cassette and write the names and letters of the pictures in the notebook.
- Listen to the dialogue.
- Use the cues given to make new dialogue and practice in pairs.
- Listen to the cassette, then write the names and letters of the pictures in the notebook.
- Listen to the dialogue.
- Make new dialogues with your partner.
- Make some more new dialogues.
- Read and copy.
5. Listen and match the names with the right pictures:
a. Nhân is hungry. He’d like noodles. (a)
b. Phương is thirsty. She’d like a drink. (b)
c. Ba is full. (f)
d. Hương is cold. (d)
Consolidation:
Fluency practice.

Homework:

- Have some SS say the names of food and drink the teacher shows.
- Let SS practice with their partners, use the new structures.
- Talk to the partner about some food and drink.
- Try to say the names of food or drink shown by the teacher.
- Practice with the partner, ask “What would you like?”
- Practice group work.
3. Ask and answer:
Is there any ?
-> Yes, there is some
-> No, there isn’t any
Are there any noodles?
-> Yes, there are some 
-> No, there aren’t any 
Consolidation:
- Dictation lists: a, an, some
Teacher reads: rice, water, banana, milk, apple, vegetables, meat, orange, noodles, hot drink, bread, orange juice, cold drink
Homework:
- Write the lesson into notebook.
- Prepare “Unit 10. Staying healthy. Section B: How do you fell? (4, 5)” for the next time

4. Then practice the dialogue with a partner:
Eg: I’m hungry. I’d like some fish and some rice. 
What would you like?
5. Listen:

Nhan would like some chicken and some rice.
Tuan would like some meat and some vegetables.
Huong would like some fruit and some milk.
Mai would like some fish and an orange juice.
