5. Look, read and answer

- Tell ss that they are going to look at the pictures and read and answer the questions. Give ss a few seconds to read and look at the pictures. Check comprehension and elicit the name of each character.

Get ss time to do the task and go around to offer help, if necessary.

Get ss to swap and check their answers before checking as a class. Write the correct answers on the board for ss to copy down into their notebooks.

Call a few pairs to read the dialogues aloud.

ACTIVITIES
I. Objectives:
By the end of the lesson Ps can: 
- Use the question and answer is that + name? Yes/no..
II. Language focus:
* Sentences patterns: Is that + name?
 Yes, it is/ No, it isn’t
III. Teaching aids:
Teaching plan, textbook, pictures
VI. Procedure. 
A. Warm up: 
-Checking the old lesson
+ ask ss have a student board
+ read some old words
+ ss listen and write down on their board.
+ check and recognize mistakes.
B. Main lesson
4. Listen and number: 
- Tell ss that they are going to listen. Draw ss’ attention to the picture. Check their understanding by elicit the name of the character in each picture. 
Play the recording three times for ss to listen, do the task and check their answers. 
Get ss to exchange and check their answers before checking as a class.

Nam: Is that Linda? 
Hoa: Yes, it is 
Quan: Is that Peter?
Mai: No, it isn’t. it’s Tony
Mai: Is that Peter?
Tony: Yes, It is
Hoa: Is that Linda?

- organize “ Snatch game”
- get five of six ss stay at front of class.
- give key words and put them on the desk.
- get ss put their hand on their head.
-when teacher say aloud the key word randomly, ss touch the key words as soon as possible.
-the winner is the one have a lot of key words.
C. Consolidation
Language note:
Tell Ps that they ask and answer about their friends, is that + name? Yes/No.
D. Homework : 
-Tell the other friends with question and answer is that + name? Yes/no.
-Learn by heart the Sentences patterns.
-Practice the speaking, writing skills at home
-Prepare the next lesson.
