1. Present the vocabulary:(wolf, rat, queen)
- Teach the new word: wolf, rat, queen by showing the pictures of a wolf, rat, queen)
- Show the picture of a wolf, rat, and queen and ask students: “What is it”? 
- Repeat students’ answer in English.
- Teach the new word:
+ “ watch” by action of pointing and looking at something.
+ “fly”: using two arms to fly.
+ “quick”: run quickly.
- Ask students to look at the picture on their book and describe what they see in the picture.
- Do the action of each line and invite students to imitate.
- Ask them to stand up.
- Play the CD again with pauses and have students use their actions to chant along.
- Set some actions for each word so that Ss can do some actions when they chant (let them chant and do some actions when they chant).
- Look at the pictures and guess the answer.

Activity 3: Students’ practice(15’)

Materials: flashcards, new words (on print out-papers)
1. Listen and chant:
- T. read the chant one time and ask ss listen and read
- Play the CD and ask Ss listen
- Ask Ss to stand up
- Play the CD again with pauses and have students use their actions to chant along.
- Divide class into 2 groups and give each group name of one thing: group 1 is a‘kite”, group 2 is “fly”
- Play the CD again, and ask them to stand up and do actions when hearing the name of their own group.
2. Listen and say:
 Stick the alphabet cards above and the pictures of wolf, kite, girl, queen, rat on the board.
- Read aloud the sounds and the words that contain these sounds. And ask student to repeat. 
Ex: /w/ wolf; /k/ kite, /g/ girl, /q/ queen, /r/ rat.
 - Play the CD and ask students to listen.
- Play the CD again and pause with each sound and have students point to the correct letter on their book. 
+ Have students play the game: face to face.
- Call two students of two groups to come in front of the class: ask one student to call a sound (Eg: /w/), and invite other student to call the word that contain that sound (Ex: wolf).
- And continue the game with other sounds and words.
3. Look and listen. Then connect the letters: 
 –Tick 5 pictures of siter and a wolf, kite, girl, queen, rat on the board.
- T. writes “wolf” and “ kite”, “girl”, “queen”, and “rat” across the board as separate letters.
. - Play the CD and have students listen to the sounds.
- Ask one student to connect the letters on the board with a line
. Ask students to look at their book.
- Play the CD again and have them connect the letters in their book.
- Write words on the board to check with class. 
Answers: 1. wolf, 2. rat, 3. queen, 4. kite, 5. girl.
4. Read the chant again. Then underline w, k, g, q, and r.
- Point to the chant on the board and invite children to underline the letters w, k, g, q, and r.
- Ask Ss to underline the letters in their book using a different color for each one.
Answers: Look, kite, watch, quick, run, get, kite.

- Introduce name of teacher and say:Hello, I’m Thuy. –Ss Repeat two or three times. Then have some Ss to say their name: Hello, I’m... Ask ss to open the book, page 6 and introduce about Eddie, Beakie and USA.
- Then have ss to move to page 8, ask them to describe the pictures in L1.

- Play CD and get students to repeat in chorus or in individual.

 - Get the puppets say Goodbye/Bye and have students to practice with the words.
 - Make a short conversation by two puppets :Hi, I’m Booby. - Hello, I’m Boo. – Goodbye. – Bye and choose one student to make sample, again with some others.

- Congratulate the winner by a big hand.
