Objectives: By the end of this lesson, students will be able to ask for and give reasons for going somewhere.
“Why do you want to go to the supermarket?
Because I want to buy something to eat”
Materials: Pictures, textbook, posters, CDs

I. Warm-up: play game
“Picking fruit”
- T divides class into 2 groups (Tom and Jerry).
- Each group goes to the board and picks fruit, they must answer the question.
+ They will get 10 marks if they answer the question correctly.
+ If they don’t answer, they won’t get 10 marks.
- The group has more marks, they will be the winner.

Play game “ Smile flowers”
- T shows some pictures to introduce new words.
-T asks Ss to repeat the vocabulary in choral 3 times and then calls on some Ss to repeat them.
- T writes the word on the board and asks Ss “what does it mean?”
-Ss answer and copy down.
- T asks Ss look at the picture and asks them to identify the characters in the picture:
+ “How many pictures are there?”
+ “Who are they?”
+ “What are they doing?”
-Ss answer the question.
- Then T plays CD and asks Ss listen & point to the words they are hearing.
- T plays CD again and asks Ss listen and repeat sentence by sentence.
- After T asks ss work in pair to practice.
- T asks Ss to look at the conversation, who can give me the new structure used to talk about ask and give reason for going somewhere. 
- Ss pick out the form
- T gives the structure.
- T models – Ss ask and answer.
-T – Ss, Ss – T
- T asks Ss work in pair to practice the 4 pictures in page 42.
- Then T calls some pair to say aloud.
- Ss give feedback.
- T explains the rule of game:
+ T asks Ss takes turn to choose a flower.
+ If Ss choose smile flower, they will get 10 marks without answering any question
+ If Ss choose cry flower, they will answer a question. They will get 10 marks if they answer the question correctly.
- Ss play game to practice new structure.

- Learn the vocabulary and structure by heart
- Prepare the new lesson 
- T writes the homelink on the board.
- T reads all the activities.
- Sts copy down into their notebook.
