+ energy (n): năng lượng

 Moderation (n): sự điều độ

 Unhealthy food: thức ăn không bổ dưỡng (có hại cho sức khỏe).

+ body-building food: thức ăn giúp phát triển cơ bắp

I. Objectives.
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
understand the importance of food to our health and know about a balanced diet.
improve reading comprehension skills and discussing skills after reading. Students will know what they should do to have a healthy lifestyle.

-Ask students to retell Ba’s story, “why did he have an awful stomachache?”, then answer the question: “What should we do and shouldn’t do to avoid stomachache?”.
- Ask students some questions:

+ What do you usually have for breakfast / lunch / dinner?
-Introduce new lesson: Food plays an important part in our life. It gives us the main energy for body development. Thus, a balanced diet is especially important. In our today’s lesson, we are going to learn about the definition of a balanced diet and useful guidelines about food”
