.WARM-UP: Net work

* Topic: Food

 * Rules

 - - Divide the class into 3 groups A, B, C.

 - Call some members of each group to go to the board and write down the names of the food that they know as much as possible in two minutes.

- Each time, one member of each group only writes one word then comes back the sit and the next one will go to the board write the next word.

- Step by step to the time is stop.

- At last, if which group writes more correct words, that group will win.

 - Remark and lead in the new lesson.

II.PRESENTATION

A1. Listen and read. Then practice with a partner.

* Presentation

 - Ask Ss some questions such as:

 + Do you usually go to the market?

 + Who do you often go to the market with?

 + What do you often see/buy at the market?

 .

- Introduce the situation of the lesson to Ss and ask Ss to guess what Hoa and her aunt bought at the market.

- Have Ss look at the pictures and listen to the tape.

 A- What shall we eat? (A1- 2)

I. Objectives:
 By the end of the lesson, the Ss will able to :
 - Understand the details and practice food vocabulary.
 - Review structures: Let’s.
 - Know about how to express like or dislike which food.
1. Language contents:
 - Vocabulary: spinach(n), cucumber(n), 
 (to) smell, durian(n), pineapple(n).
 - Grammar: +The simple present.
 +The structure: I’d like.
 So do I/ I do, too Neither do I/ I don’t, either
2. Skill: Practice speaking skill.
3. Attitures:
 - Ss are interested in learning English and understand the details and practice food vocabulary.
 - Then they will be able to know about how to express like or dislike which food by using structure “I’d like”
4. Competences:
 - Co- operation: work in pairs/groups.
 - Self- study: work individually.
 - Creativeness: Ss will be able to know about how to express like or dislike which food by using structure “I’d like”
 - Using language to do excercises.

Spinach (n): rau chân vịt (explanation)
Cucumber (n): quả dưa chuột (picture)
Pineapple (n): quả dứa (explanation)
Durian (n): quả sầu riêng (picture)
(to) smell: ngửi/ có mùi (translation)
+ Have Ss read the new words on chorus and individual.
+ Correct their pronunciation and stress if necessary.
- Checking vocab: Matching
2. Presenting the new structure:
+ Look at the picture
+ T and Ss discuss.
- Model sentences:
 + I like spinach and cucumbers.
 è So do I / I do, too.
 + I don’t like pork.
 è Neither do I / I don’t, either.
- T writes the model sentences on the board and have Ss copy down.
- T models 3 times and Ss repeat chorally.
+ T asks Ss to work in pair.
+ Call some pair to practice.
+ Correct their pronunciation if necessary.
- Ask Ss to look at the book and read after the tape.
- Ask Ss read the dialogues in pair
- Call on some pairs to practice reading in front of the class.
- Correct their pronunciation.
- Ask Ss to read the dialogues again to find out the answer in the book.
* Practice
- Have Ss play a game: Lucky numbers
1) What did Hoa and her aunt buy at the market?
2) LN.
3) Does Hoa like pork? How about her aunt?
4) What meat would they like for dinner?
5) LN.
6) What are favorite vegestables of Hoa’s aunt?
- Demonstrate the group which wins the game.
- Ask Ss to write the answers in the notebook
A2. Ask and answer the questions with partner. Talk about the food you like.
- Ask Ss to give the fruits that they like.
- Give some names of fruits: grape, strawberry, water melon, pear, mango.
- Model sentences:
S1: I like pineapples. Do you like them?
S2: [Yes. I like pineapples, too./Yes, so do I.
 No, I don’t like pineapples./No, I don’t.
S1: I don’t like beef. Do you like it?
S2: [No, I don’t like beef either./No neither do I.
 Yes I like beef./ Yes, I do.
(So and too are used in the formative sentences. Neither and either are used in the nagative sentences.)
- Eg:
S1: I am a student.
S2: So am I/I am, too.
S1: I like beef.
S2: I do, too./ So do I.
S1: She isn’t a teacher.
S2: I am not, either./ Neither am I.
S1: I don’t like pork.
S2: I don’t , either./ Neither do I.
(Not either= Neither)
III. PRODUCTION:
- Divide the class into 4 groups.
- Have Ss take a survey.
Eg: S1: I like durians. Do you like them?
 S2: Yes, I like them, too./ So do I.

- Ask Ss to report their survey.
- Call 2 groups to go to the board and write their survey.
* Consolidation:
- Have Ss talk about the food they like and dislike.
IV.HOMEWORK:
Learn the new words and structures.
Using model sentences to make the dialogues about the food and drinks that members in your family like or dislike.
- Do exercises in the workbook.
- Prepare the next lesson (A3, 4).
 Ss of each group go to the board and write down the names of the food that they know as much as possible in two minutes.
 Ss listen and answer some questions.
 Ss guess what Hoa and her aunt bought at the market.
- Ss listen and repeat in chorus and individuals.
- Copy the new words in their note book.
- Ss go to the board and match.
