NEW LESSON

I. Pre - speaking

- Teacher sticks the picture of the Pyramid on the board and asks students:

What is it? ( It is the Pyramid)

 Is the Pyramid high? ( Yes)

-Teacher writes on the board: The Pyramid is high

-Teacher asks students:

What do you think of this wonder? ( I think it is very great)

-Teacher writes on the board: I think this wonder is great.

-Teacher asks students to look at the two sentences on the board, deciding which sentence is facts and opinions.

II. While- speaking

Activity 1: Distinguishing facts and opinions

1. Task 1. Decide whatever are facts or opinions

-Teacher asks students to read some statements about the Pyramid.

-Teacher requires students to work in pairs to decide if each one describes fact or opinion.

-Teacher goes around offering help.

-Teacher invites some students to give their answers.

-T gives feedback.

Task 2. Talk about the facts and opinions about The Great Pyramid

-Teacher asks students to move to Task 2.

- Teacher provides a model.

-Teacher reminded ways to express ideas/opinions.

-Teacher asks students to practice the model in pairs following the model.

-Teacher calls some pairs to present and gives them feedbacks.

I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
1. Knowledge:
- General knowledge: tell about the facts and opinions of the Great Pyramid of Giza
Useful language: 
I think/ I am sure ...
It is said that .....
The pyramid is said/ believed/ thought to have been ...
Probably they
They must/can/ might have ....
2. Skills:
By the end of the lesson, student will be able to: 
	- talk about the facts and opinions of the Great Pyramid of Giza 
- present to class.
 3. Attitude and competencies: 
- know how to express the facts and opinions of the Great Pyramid of Giza
- have a positive towards what they have learnt
II. Preparation:
- Teacher:
	+ lesson plan
	+ handouts
	+ laptop
- Students: notebooks, pencils, pens, sub-boards.
III. Anticipated problems and solutions: 
1. Students may have difficulty in talking about thehobbies so the teacher should produre some examples.
2. Some students have problem with intonation while they talk so teacher should correct them.

WARM UP: Work individual
Game – What is it? 
-Teacher divides the class into two groups. 
-Teacher says that he has a word in mind and he is going to give some information about the word. Members of each group will listen and may stop at any information they hear to guess what the word is. Each group has only two chances to guess the word. The first group to tell exactly what the word is will win the game.
-Teacher gives information about the word:
 1. It is a structure.
 2. It was built by stones.
 3. It was made by slaves.
 4. It lied in Egypt

- Teacher calls some presentatives of each group to present.
- Teacher gives the feedbacks.

- Teacher plays a clip of the wonders of the world and asks students to remenber 7 wonder.
