II. Before you read : (10 minutes)

- Ask students work in pairs and look at the pictures on screen and discuss the questions

- Goes around and help if necessary

-Ask students to give the answers

- Listen to students and correct pronunciation and grammar if necessary

- Give population statistics in 2015.

- Gives some pictures and explains the meaning of some newwords

- Explains pronunciation and meaning of new words which appear in the passage

-Asks students to read loudly the difficult words in chorus

- Gives students a clip and some pictures
-Asks students to answers some questions:
What can you see in the clip?

- Asks students to do task 1
Read the first paragraph and fill in the table
1. What was the population of the world in 10,000 B.C., 1750, 1850, 1950, 1985 and 2000 ?
- Lets students work in groups
- Goes around and helps students if necessary
2. Task 2: (15 minutes)
Game: Lucky singer
- Asks Ss work in group, choose the questions and answer it.
- Which group has more correct answer will be the winner.
1. How many people is the world expected to have by the year 2015?
2. Can the earth have enough resources to support its population?
3. Do most Third World women want to have a lot of children?
4. Why can’t women in the world limit the size of their families?
 - Asks students look through the passages then try to answer the questions in right way
- Helps students if necessary

- Gives some questions to check check Ss' understanding about the lesson
