Checking the old lesson.(3’)
-Optional.
-Introduce the topic of the lesson to the students.( Now we are going to study about how to do a first_aid course……)
New lesson.(35’)
Presentation.
-Help the students study some new words.
-Students skim the dialogue then read.
-Explain the meaning then write on the board.
-Help the students to work in group to discuss and decide what they should do in each situation. 
 ( P. 80) . Teacher can give some suggested instructions:
Practice.
-Introduce the topic of the dialogue then students.
+Have you ever cut on your arm?
-Ask the students to listen then answer the questions:
- Listen to the Audio-CD then find the answers.
-Check their answers.
-Students listen then repeat in chorus.
-Work in pair to read the dialogue.
-Check their prediction.
-Ask the students to read the dialogue again then choose the contents fit to the dialogue.
Consolidation.
-Call some students to check.
(Pay their attentions to the way how to explain the situation.)

Explain the request from the students.

II. Getting started.
Take that person to the hospital / nearest clinic.
Put cold water on the burned area.
Put a tight bandage on it.
Put cotton wool in that person’s nose.
Put a clean towel or a handkerchief on.
Put on some medicated oil or rub with tiger balm.
Press down hard on the wound with a clean cloth to stop the bleeding for at least 10 minutes.
Clean the wound well with soap and water.
III. Practice.
*Listen and read.
+Who are talking? ( Lan and a nurse)
+Where are they?( Q. Trung school)
+What happened? ( a student fell off her bike and hit her head on the road)
(A girl students is talking with a nurse on her phone. The nurse is at Back Mai hospital. The girl is at Quang Trung School. A student is hurt. She fell off her bike and hit her read on the road.)
1. Practice the dialogue with a partner.
2. Select the topic cover the dialogue.
a) Describing the condition of the injured person.
b)Asking for the address.
c)Asking about the condition of the injured person.
d) Asking for advice.
e)Giving first_aid instruction.
f) Arranging for an ambulance.
g)Saying the injured person’s name.
*Home work.
Do exercise in workbook.
