-What is the weather like?
-Who is absence today?
Checking the old lesson(3’)
-(Optional)
-> Introduce the topic of new lesson to the students.

Pre-reading
*Help the students to study vocabulary:
- Students listen, skim and find out new words.
-List the new words.
-Call some students to read aloud.
-Write on the board.
-Students listen and repeat in chorus.
-Explain the meaning of each word.
+Give some examples.(if possible)
-Write down on the notice-book.
-Ask the students to read the sentences containing the word.
While –reading
-Let the students look at the pictures and ask some questions:
+ Do you like to learn English vocabulary?
+ Do you have any special way to learn vocabulary?
+What do you do when you read a new word?
+ Which way helps you to learn vocabulary?
+ How many English words do you try to learn every day?
- Let the students read the text quickly.
-Ask the students to list different ways to learn new words:
+Students work in groups to complete the task.
+Call some students to write on the board.
+Explain the advantage of each way.( In Vietnamese)
Post-reading.
-Ask the students to work in small groups so as to answer the questions below:
-Explain the requests from the students( if any) 
-Let the students to compare their works with the other.
-Call some to check.( Write on the board)
Feedback.(3’)
-Ask the students to practice reading.
-Check and correct their pronunciation.

*Different ways to learn new words:
+Making a list and put into it the meanings of new words in their mother tongue and try to learn them by heart.
+ Writing one or two examples sentences with each new word.
+Write each word and its use on a small piece of paper and stick it somewhere..

a) Are there many ways to learn new words?
b) What do you do so as to remember the important words?
c) Do you like to write the words in our mother tongue?
d) Is revision necessary?
