Activity 1
-Guide the students review the past simple tense: (usage, form, adverb..)
-Ask the students to retell the past form of verbs:
+Ask the students to write the past-form of irregular verbs.
 Students write the past form of verbs.
-Call some students to write on the board.
-Correct and give the key.
*Continue to help the students review the past simple tense.
-Ask the students to write the dialogue using the past simple tense.
-Write the dialogue on the notice books.
- Work in pair to read the dialogue.
-Call some to check ( read the dialogue)
-Correct the mistake if any.

*Guide the students practice to use preposition of time.
-Explain the using of each preposition.
-Ask the students to practice in pairs.
-Read the prepositions on the table and complete the correct prepositions in the order.
-Compare their work with the other.
-Call some students to check.
-Correct the mistake if any.

*Help the students to practice use “Used to +V”
-Explain the using of the structure.
-Ask the students to look at the pictures and table of the verbs.
-Ask the students to use one of the verb with Used to in order to complete the sentences.
-Compare their works then write down on the notice book.
-Call some students to check.
-Correct the mistake if any.

1. Write the past form of the verbs:
- run -> ran have/ has -> had
- fly -> flew eat -> ate
- take-> took come -> came
- go -> went be -> was/ were

2. Complete the dialogue below: Use the past simple.
a) Lan: Did you eat rice for lunch?
 Nga: No, I ate noodles.
b) Ba: How did you get to school?
 Nam: I rode a bicycle to school.
c)Minh: Where were you yesterday?
 Hoa: I was at home.
d) Chi: Which subject did you have yesterday?
 Ba: I had ( Math).
II. Prepositions of time:
at / after / before ( 8 am)

3. Complete the sentences:
a) I ‘ll see you on Monday.

c) We must be there between 8.30 and 9.15.

*Use to express the action that happen usually in the past.
4. Look at the pictures. Complete the dialogue. Use used to and the verbs.
Nga: Where is this? It isn’t Ha Noi.
Hoa: No, it’s Hue. I used to stay there.
Nga: Is that you Hoa?
Hoa: Yes. I (1) used to have long hair.
Nga: Who is in this Photo?
Hoa: That is Loan. She (2) She used to be my next-door neighbor.
Nga: Are they your parents?
Hoa: No. They are my aunt and uncle. They(3) used to live in Hue, too.
