Lesson 1: getting started & listen and read.
Objectives.
-At the end of the lesson students can:
 +Talk about past habits, using “ used to”
-Contents:
 +Vocabulary: 
look after, equipment, great- grandma, folktale.

Organization. (2’)
-Greetings and checking attendances:
What is the weather like?
Who is absence today?
Checking the old lesson.(3’)
(optional)
-The topic of the lesson will be introduced to the students.
New lesson.(35’)
Presentation. 
- Ask the students to look at the picture ( P. 38), the work in groups to find out the things that did not belong to the past and write the names of them.
-Let the students ask and answer about the things.
-Do you have a mobile phone?
Do you have school uniforms?
- Guide the students study some new words.
*. Give the model sentences.
- Check : meaning, form and pronunciation.
Practice.
*Introduce the topic and characters in the dialogue.( Nga’s told about the past…..)
-Listen to the dialogue.
-Listen again then predict the answers of the questions.
-Students listen to the Audio-CD again.
-Find out the answers to the pre- questions.
-List the works that Nga’s Grand ma did.
-Students use the model sentences to practice:
 ( Group work)
+She used to clean the house.
-Let the students practice in pairs in turns.
-Correct the mistakes if any.
-Ask the students to practice asking about the family.
-Work in pair to ask and answer the questions.

d) What did Nga’s great grandmother and 
great grandfather do after dinner?
e)What did Nga ask her grandmother to do at the end of the conversation?

-Explain the meaning of fact and option to the students.
-Read the dialogue in silence.
-Students work in pairs and decide which is fact or option.
-Compare the result.

Give some examples so as to students can understand more about the fact/option.
