 Dear Donna,

 Thanks for your letter. I’m pleased to hear you had a happy Mother’s day.

I received my second semester report last month. I got grades for Geography, Physics and math, but my English and History results were poor. My teacher told me to improve English and History. I think I will have to study harder next school year. In a few weeks we are going to celebrate the Mid – Autumn Festival. That is a moon festival in autumn or Fall in Viet Nam. I’m going to Ha Long Bay with my aunt and uncle by bus this afternoon and I’m going to stay there with them until after the festival. I’ll send you a postcard from there.

1. Warm up:
 Ask sts : have you eve written an informal letter?

Today we learn about how way to write an informal letter.
2. Before writing.
- Sts look at the ex 1 in the text book and read it.
- T introduces some words and introduces the form of the informal letter.
	Enjoyable (a): thú vị, thich thú
	Regard (n): lời chúc mừng tốt đẹp, lời chào hỏi
	Dear (n): thân yêu, yêu quí
- Read and repeat
- Check: rub out and remember
 - Sts correct an informal letter.
