A. Aims:

 By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to

- Review what they’ve learnt from Unit 1 to Unit 5.

- Doing exercises

- Reinforce listening, speaking, writing skills.

* Resources: Books, subboard.

B. Procedures:

I. Vocabulary: Brainstorming

- Get ss to brainstorming new words they’ve learnt.

* Address: lan, tower, crowded, like, quiet, pretty

* Daily routine: brush teeth, do morning exercise, always, usually, often, sometimes, once, twice, partner, project

* Holiday: island, ancient, town, imperial city, underground, motorbike, coach, get

* Party: enjoy, join, funfair, chat, cartoon; verbs: did, had, ate, went, sang

* Weekend: will, may, think, explore, cave, boat, build sandcastle, on, in, at, by

- Get ss to read all the words in chorus, individually.

 Unit 5: Where will you be this weekend? 
 Lesson 3 (1 - 3)
A. Aim:
- By the end of the lesson Ps will be able to: 
	+ pronoun two and three-syllable words with the stress on the first syllables: ‘seaside, ‘islands, ‘countryside
* Skills: 
- Develop Ss speaking and listening skills
* Language focus:
- Words: ‘seaside, ‘islands, ‘countryside
* Teaching aids:
	overhead, computer
B. Procedure:
I. Warm up:
	Dictation
	think, explore, cave, sandcastle, .
II. New lesson:
1. Listen and repeat:
- Have sts to look at the overhead’s screen, draw their attention to the words 
- Produce the words: ‘seaside, ‘islands, ‘countryside with the stress on the first syllable
- Play CD for sts listen
- Have sts repeat the focused on the stress a few times.
- Play the recording twice and ask Ss to repeat
- Monitor the activity and offer help when necessary/ correct typical pronunciation errors.
- Call on someone to pronounce.
- Have the whole class recite the chant to reinforce their pronunciation.
2. Listen and circle a or b. Then say the sentences:
 - Have pupils read the sentences and phrases given
- Get sts say aloud
- Tell the pupils that they are going to listen to 3 sentences and circle the words given to complete the sentences.
- Play the recording twice for pupils listen and circle the correct words. 
- Compare the answers with the partners.	
- Play the recording again pupils check their answers. 
- T gets the answer:
- Have pupils act out the sentences in pairs or groups for correction.
- Ask some questions to ensure pupils’ comprehension of the listening text.
Answer: 	1- b ; 2 - a	; 3 – b ; 
3. Let’s chant
- Show the chant “Where will you be this weekend?”
- Have sts run through the sentences
- Ask sts read aloud 
- Check comprehension 
	+ Where did he go?
	+ How did he go?
- Play the tape a few times.
- have sts make stress on the whole chant
- Ask sts to read aloud each line in the chant and clap their hands.
- Ask them to listen again and repeat.
- Have sts practice the chant in groups.
- Call each group perform.
- Correct and comment
- Play the tape once to reinforce their pronunciation.
 III. Reinforcement 
- In this lesson, sts have learned how to make stress the words with 2, 3 syllables
- Practice chanting.

 Unit 5: Where will you be this weekend? 
 Lesson 3 (4 - 6)
A. Aim:
- By the end of the lesson Ps will be able to: 
	+ further practice about asking and answering about where and what someone will be/ go and do.
* Skills: 
- Develop Ss reading and writing and speaking skills
* Language focus:
- Revise from L1 + L2
* Teaching aids:
Overhead, laptop
B. Procedure:
I. Warm up:
Saying the chant “Where will you be this weekend?”
II. New lesson:
1. Read and complete:
- Ask sts to open their book on page 23
- Give instruction.
- Elicit: 
	 What’s kind of the reading text? – A passage
- Explain the meaning: sunbathe
- Ask sts to read the text. 
- Have sts look at the table
- Expalin what they have to do: find information to complete the table, paying attention to what Mai and her family will do in the morning, afternoon and evening
- Have sts do the task in pairs
- Monitor the activity and offer help when necessary.
- Ask sts to work in pairs to check the answer 
- Call on some sts to report their answers.

2. Write about you:
- Have sts read the phrases and words that start each sentence given
- Checking understanding how to write answer: write about themselves
 - Have sts work in pairs to discuss what they will do next Sunday
- Have sts write in 7 mins individually
- Remind sts how to write in correct way
 - Go around to help
- Get sts swap and read their writing in pairs
- Invite two or three sts to read their answers aloud
- Get sts give feedback
- Check and correct
	* Suggested answer:
	Hi. My name is nam.

	In the morning, I will help my mum and read books

3. Project: Inteview
- Ask ss to stand up, go around to interview their friends about where they will go and what they will do next weekend

- Have the class read the statements and check their comprehension
