I .Warm-up :

- Ask sts to perform the song We have English today.

- Lead in the new lesson.

II. New Lesson:

1. Look, listen and repeat

- Ask sts to open the book on page 20.

- Run through and set the scene.

- Give instruction.

- Open the cassette all the way through.

- Ask sts to listen again and repeat the dialogue.

- Divide the class into 2 groups and ask them to play a role.

- Have sts to do further practice in pairs.

- Give feedback.

- Provide some new words for sts to make a sense of the dialogue: help, visit.

- Elicit the sentence pattern from sts:

+ What do you do on _______?

 I ___________

- Give examples.

2. Practice

- Ask sts to turn to part 2 and look at the table.

- Run through.

- Give instruction.

- Make model the pattern: T – St; St – T; S1 – S2.

- Let sts practise in pairs with the given informatin, then practise freely using two sentence patterns that they have learnt.

- Move around to offer help.

- Call on some pairs to report.

- Comment.

A. Object: By the end of the lesson, sts will be able to:
- Use the words and phrases related to the topics “ Days of week”.
- Ask and answer about the days of week.
B. Language focus:
- Vocabulary: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, today.
- Sentence pattern: What day is it tday? It’s..
C. Resources: Book, CD-player.
D. Procedures:
I .Warm-up :
* Game: Shark- attack: A W E E K
- Guide sts to play the game
- Ask sts to play the game.
- Give feedback.
- Lead in the new lesson.
II. New Lesson:
1. Look, listen and repeat
- Run through.
- Set the sense.
- Give instruction.
- Play the recording all the way through.
- Replay the recording for sts listen and repeat.
- Divide class into 3 groups and ask them to play roles then swap their roles.
- Ask sts to do further practice in pairs.
- Provide some words for sts to understand the dialogue: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.
- Check to make sure that sts can repeat and understand the dialogue.
 2. Point and say
- Ask sts to look at the calender.
- Use handmade puppets to teach. 
- Explain the pattern:
What day is it tday? It’s..
- Model the structure: T-sts; sts-T; S1-S2 
- Have sts to look at the pictures and greet and ask where you are from in pairs.
- Move around to offer helps.
- Call on some pairs to practise in front of the class.
- Give feedback.

- Call sts to recall what they have learnt.

I .Warm-up :
* Game: Slap the board (using the days of week)
- Guide sts to play the game.
- Ask sts to play the game.
- Give feedback.
- Lead in the new lesson.
II. New Lesson:
1. Listen and tick 
- Run through.
- Give instruction.
- Play the recording all the way through for sts to listen.
- Replay for sts to listen and tick.
- Play once more times for sts to check their answers.
- Ask sts to compare with their partners.
- Call on some sts to report.
- Give feedback.

- Ask sts to look at the table and guess what are they going to do.
- Give instruction.
- Remind sts to write the initial letter of the word of the days in capital letters.
- Allow sts time to do the task independently.

- Let sts guess what are they going to do.
- Give instruction.
- Ask them to elicit the pictures.
- Play the recording all the way through for sts to listen.
- Replay for sts to listen and tick.
- Play once more times for sts to check their answers.
- Ask sts to compare with their partners.
- Call on some sts to report.
- Give feedback.
