A. Object: By the end of the lesson, sts will be able to:

- Pronounce the sound of the letters: f, sh in the words: beef, leaf, fish, dish.

- Develop speaking and listening skill.

B. Language focus:

- Phonics: beef, leaf, fish, dish.

C. Resources: handmade puppets, robot-teacher, photographs of greeting.

D. Procedure:

I. Warm up:

- Ask sts to recite the chant: Would you like some fish?

- Reinforce sts’ pronunciation.

- Lead in the new lesson.

II. New lesson.

1. Read and complete.

- Run through.

- Ask sts to tell what are you going to do.

- Have sts to read through the letter, then write the right answer individually in the blanks.

- Set the time for sts and monitor the activity.

- Have sts to compare with their partners.

- Check and remark.

A. Object: By the end of the lesson, sts will be able to:
- Pronounce the sound of the letters: f, sh in the words: beef, leaf, fish, dish.
- Develop speaking and listening skill. 
B. Language focus: 
- Phonics: beef, leaf, fish, dish.
C. Resources: handmade puppets, robot-teacher, photographs of greeting.
D. Procedure:
I. Warm up: 
- Ask sts to recall what they have been learnt from the last lesson.
- Comment.
- Lead in the new lesson.
II. New lesson.
1. Listen and repeat
- Have sts to concerntrate on: f, sh in the words: beef, leaf, fish, dish.
- Pronounce the focused sounds a few times as a model.
- Play the recording twice for sts to listen and repeat.
- Ask sts to repeat and others give feedback.
- Let sts listen to the CD again then tell how to pronounce the sound of the letters: f, sh in the words: beef, leaf, fish, dish.
- Ask them to compare the sound of these words with Vietnamese.
- Give feedback.
2. Listen and tick. Then write and say aloud. 
- Ask sts to discuss what they are going to do.
- Play the recording for sts to listen.
- Replay for sts to listen and circle the best answers.
- Play the recording again for sts to check their answer.
- Ask sts to compare with their partner.
- Call on some sts to report.
- Give feedback.

Lesson 1: Part 1, 2
A. Object: By the end of the lesson, sts will be able to:
- Use the words and phrases related to the topic physical appearance.
- Ask and answer questions about someone’s physical appearance.
B. Language focus:
- Vocabulary: tall, short, slim, old, young.
- Sentence patterns: What does he/ she look like?
	He’s/ she’s..
C. Resources: Book, CD-player.
D. Procedure:
I .Warm-up :
Game: Shark attack A P P E A R A N C E
- Give feedback.
- Lead in the new lesson.
II. New lesson
1. Look, listen and repeat.
- Run through and set the sense.
- Give instruction.
- Play the recording all the way through.
- Replay the recording for sts listen and repeat.
- Divide class into 4 groups to read the dialogue and ask them to play roles.
- Ask sts to do further practice in groups of 4.
- Check to make sure that sts can repeat and understand the dialogues(provide some words: footballer, tall)
 2. Point and say
- Ask sts to look at the pictures a, b, c and d.
- Run through some words: short, slim, old, young.
- Use handmade puppets to teach: What does he/ she look like?
	He’s/ she’s..
- Model the structure: T-sts; sts-T; S1-S2 
- Have sts to look at the pictures and do the task in pairs then practise freely.
- Move around to offer help.
- Call on some pairs to perform the task.
III. Reinforcement:
- Recall the new lesson.

- Vocabulary: tall, short, slim, old, young.
- Sentence patterns: What does he/ she look like?

C. Resources: Book, CD-player.
D. Procedure:
I .Warm-up.
* Chatting: Ask sts to ask and answer questions about someone’s physical appearance.
- Give feedback.
- Lead in the new lesson.
II. New lesson.
1. Listen and tick:
- Run through and set the scene.
- Ask sts to look at the pictures and guess what are they saying.
- Give instruction.
- Play the recording for sts to listen through.
- Play the recording again for sts to listen and tick the correct pictures.
- Replay for sts to check their answers.
- Ask sts to trade the answer.
- Call on some sts to report.
- Give feedback.

- Have sts look at the picures on page 25.
- Ask sts what they have to do in this task.
- Ask them to discuss and complete the blanks.

- Introduce the game: Find someone who(using the words related to people’s physical appearance)
