- Develop Ss writing and listening skills

2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks.

I. Warm up: Read the “What subjects do you have today?” chant
II. New lesson:
4. Read and complete
- T introduces the scene “you are going to read the paragraph and fill the suitable words in the gaps in the timetable below, using the paragraph cues.
- Ask Ss to read the paragraph and do the task (fill in the blanks)
- Monitor the activity and offer help when necessary
- Have Ss trade the answers in pairs for correction
- Call on some Ss to report their answers. Others listen and comment.
- Make a few questions to check Ss’ comprehension of the sentences.
- Have the whole class read each sentence of the paragraph in chorus to reinforce their pronunciation

5. Write about you and your school subjects
- Tell Ss that they are going to fill the gaps, using their information.
- Have Ss work in pairs to discuss what they are going to write. Check comprehension.
- Ask Ss to do the task. T go around for help when they do the task independently.
- Get them to swap the answers before checking as a class.
- Ask Ss to read the answers aloud to the class. The others listen and give comments.

- Explain the task and check understanding.
- Ask Ss to ask a friend in another school about his/ her timetable and tick the table which are written on the paper.

- Develop Ss speaking and listening skills
3. Language focus:
- Vocabulary: watching a video, writing a dictation, reading a text
- Structures: What’s he/ she doing? He’s/ She’s + Ving + noun.
II. Teaching aids:
1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, pictures, cassette.
2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks.

I. Warm up. Play the game “jumbled the letters”
II. New lesson:
1. Look, listen and repeat.
- Ask Ss to identify the characters in 4 pictures on page 58 and ask:
+ Who are the pupils? 
+ Where are they? 
+ And What are they talking about?
- Open the tape and listen the sound of the words.
- Play the recording a few times for pupils to listen and repeat. Do choral and individual repetition, pointing to the characters speaking
- Instruct Ss to translate the dialogue into Vietnamese.

- Have Ps look at the book on page 58
- Teach some vocabularies:
 watching video: xem vi-đê-ô
 writing a dictation: viết bài chính tả
 reading a text: đọc bài đọc
+ Teacher read as a model and have the Ss repeat

- Ask Ss to work in pairs.
- Have Ss write the answer on the board.
- Have the whole class to read aloud the answers on the board. Correct the pronunciation

- Have pupils look at the pictures on page 59. Elicit the identification of the characters in the pictures and the characters’ words. Tell pupils that they are going to listen to the recording and tick the pictures they hear. 
- Open the tape and listen the sound of the words
- Turn on the tape 2 times and ask Ss to listen and tick.
- Ask some questions to ensure pupils’ comprehension of the listening text.
- Answers: 1b 2c 3a
5. Look and write
- Have pupils look at 4 pictures on Page 59. Get Ss to identify the characters in the pictures.
- Tell Ss that they are going to read and get information to answer the questions.
- Ss read silently and complete the sentences.
- Ss trade their answers within pairs or groups for correction
- Ask Ss to read the answers aloud to the class. The others listen and give comments.
- Make some questions to check Ss’ comprehension of the reading text.
- Have the whole class read the sentences chorally to reinforce their pronunciation.

Let’s play
- Tell Ss that they are going to play game “Charades”. Follow the procedure in Game in introduction
- Divide the class into groups of three. T explain how to play the game: Ss 1 mimes a classroom activity (Ex: reading a book, listening to music) without making any sounds or lip movements. Ss 2 points to Ss 1 and asks What’s he/ she doing? Ss 3 answers (Ex: He’s/ She’s reading a book.)
- Have Ss play the game in groups
- Ask Ss to take turn asking and answering the questions. T monitors the activity and offer help, if necessary. 
III. Consolidation
- Retell the content of the lesson.

- Do exercises in the workbook. Learn by heart the new words and structures.

1. Knowledge: 
- By the end of the lesson, students will be able to ask and answer questions about what people are doing.
2. Skills: 
- Develop Ss speaking and listening skills.
3. Language focus:
	- Vocabulary: paiting masks, making a puppet, playing badminton, making paper planes, making a paper boat, making a kite, drawing pictures.
- Structures: What are they doing? They’re + V-ing + noun.
II. Teaching aids:
1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, pictures, cassette.
2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks.
III. Teaching processes:

- Call on a few pairs to role-play in front of the class. Correct pronunciation, if necessary.
