REVIEW 4

A. Objectives: By the end of the lesson, sts will be able to:

- Perform their abilities in listening, speaking, reading and writing related to the topics from Unit 16 to Unit 20, using the phonics, vocabulary and sentence patterns they have learnt.

B. Language focus:

- Review from units 16 to 20.

C. Resources: handmade puppets, robot-teacher, photographs of greeting.

D. Procedure:

I. Warm up:

- Let sts sing the song that they like.

- Comment.

- Lead in the new lesson.

II. Review

 Phonics:

- Put the piece of paper with the phonics written on the board and play the recording (two times).

- Ask sts to listen and repeat the words in chorus.

- Draw sts’ attention to the sounds that are difficult to pronounce

- Have sts to practice reading the words aloud in pairs.

- Have some pairs demonstrate. Correct their pronunciation when necessary.

- Call on some pairs to demonstrate at the front of the class. Have the rest of the class observe and give comment

 Vocabulary:

- Put the vocabulary sheet of paper on the board.

- Ask sts to recall the meaning of the words by reading aloud or playing a game (Name cards/ Stand up when you hear/ Physical Line- up) using flashcards.

- Have sts say the words aloud again. Encourage them to group words.

- Get sts male sentences with some of the words they have learnt.

 Structures:

- Put the sheet of paper which contains the sentences patterns on the board.

- Ask sts to repeat the patterns aloud as they follow the text on the board.

- Ask sts to make short dialogues with the sentence patterns

- Have some pairs act out their dialogues at the front of the class. The others listen and comment.

III. Reinforcement

- Ask sts to do further practice in pairs with structures.

I.Objectives: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to ask and answer questions about distance.
* Teaching aids: pictures, cassette
II.Procedures

1. Warm up: Brainstorm: 
T introduces the game and its rule.
T controls- ss play.
T gives feedback and introduces new lesson.
2. Look, listen and repeat.	
Have Ss to look at the book on page 66; identify the characters in the pictures and what they are talking. 
Play the recording and asks Ss to listen to the tape twice.
T asks Ss to listen and repeat in chorus three times.
Have Ss listen to the recording as they read the lines in the speech bubbles
Play the recording again for Ss to repeat the dialogue two times.
Let Ss practice the dialogue in pairs.
Gets some pairs to read it aloud.
Play the recording again for the whole class to repeat each line in the speech .
T gives a situation to present (using picture).
T elicits the structures by asking Ss to speak out the model sentence: 
Form:	Is+ place 1+ near + place 2
	Yes, it is/ No. it's far from 
3. Point and say. Let's talk
T runs through.
Open-pairs; close-pairs.
Call on some pairs to perform the task at the front of the class. 
Make some questions to check Ss’ comprehension of language.
Have the whole class repeat all the phrases to reinforce their pronunciation.
T gives comment.

Have Ss to repeat the sentences a few times before let them practice freely. 
Have Ss to work in pairs to practice .

I. OBJECTIVES: By the end of this lesson, students will be able to practice futher on asking and answering about Where in progress through listening, reading and writing.
* Resources: textbook, pictures, record, 
II. Procedure 
1. Warm-up: checking old lesson
T calls 3 ss to come to the board and write vocabulary at previous lesson.
The others write on small board.
T gives feedback and introduces new lesson
2. Listen and number
Have Ss look at Pictures a, b, c and d on Page 67.
Run through all pictures. 
Ask Ss to listen to the recording and write the number into the box below each picture.
1st:Play the recording all the way through for Ss to listen while they are looking the pictures in their books
2nd: play the recording for Ss to listen and number.
3rd: play the recording for Ss to check their answers.
Have Ss trade their answers in pairs for correction
Ask some questions to ensure Ss’ comprehension of the listening text.
Keys: 
3. Read and complete.
T introduces the topic “you are going to read the pasage to get the information to complete ”.
1st reading: Ss read the sentences individually. 
2nd reading: Ss do the task. 
Monitor the activity and offer help when necessary.
Have Ss trade the answers in pairs for correction.

T introduces new lesson.
2. Listen and repeat.
Have Ss open the book on page 68
T runs through.
T plays the record for ss to listen twice.
T plays again for ss to repeat twice.
T asks ss to repeat and calls some ss to read.
T gives feedback.
3. Listen and write.
T asks ss to look at part 2 on page 68 and guess the words in the blanks. 
Play the recording all the way through for Ss to listen. 
Ss write the words that they hear.
Compare with their partners.

4. Let's chant: where's Ba Vi?
T runs through.
Ss listen to the chant 3 times.
Ss listen sentence by sentence and repeat.
Ss listen and read in choral.

- Set the sence: “you are going to read the sentences to get the information to answer the questions"
- 1st reading: Ss read the sentences individually and check their prediction.
- 2nd reading: Ss do the task.
- Monitor the activity and offer help when necessary.
- Have Ss trade the answers in pairs for correction.
- Call on some Ss to report their answers. Others listen and comment.
- Make a few questions to check Ss’ comprehension of the sentences.

D. Procedure:
I. Warm up.
- Review the model sentences from unit 6 to unit 10.
- Lead in the new lesson.	
II. New lesson
1. Read and listen to the story.
- Set the scene.
- Play the recording 2 times sts to listen.
- Make models with sts.
- Have sts to work in pairs.
- Control the activity.
- Call on sts to report.
- Play the recording again sts listen to the story and comment.
- Make a few questions to check sts’ comprehension of the story.
2. Put the words in the correct order.
- Ask sts to read the story in the book and find out the answers for the questions.
- Work in pairs to do the exercise.
- The rest listen to and give the remark. 
- Correct the pronunciation.
