C. Procedures:

I.Warm up: Play a game “hangman” p a r r o t

II.New lesson:

1. Look, listen and repeat.

- Give a few seconds for Ps to look at the pictures .

Who’re they? Mai and Quan. Can you guess

What are they? parrots

How many? Five

- Ask Ps to repeat the text a few times. Repeat the procedure with the second picture.

- Do choral and individual repetition, pointing to the charaters speaking.

- Play the recording for Ps to listen and say along line by line.

Sentence patterns:

 How many parrots do you have?

 I have five.

2. Point and say.

- Tell Ps that they are going to practise asking and answering the questions about the quantity of pets, using How many + ( words for pets)+ do you have?

How many pictures are there?( four)

Picture a; What are they? Dogs.

Picture b: Are they goldfish? Yes, they are.

Picture c: What are they? ( Parrots)

Picture d: Are they dogs? No, they aren’t. They are cats.

 Lesson 1. Sections 1, 2, 3
A.Objectives: By the end of the lesson, Ps will be able to use the words and phrases related to the toys; ask and answer the questions about toys, using What toys do you like?.
 Skills : Listening and talking.
 Task: Look,listen and repeat; point and say; Let’s talk
B. New language:
Vocabulary: truck
Sentence patterns: What toys do you like?
 I like 
C. Procedures:
I. Warm up: Brainstorming (toys)
II.New lesson:
1. Look, listen and repeat.
- Tell Ps that they are going to ask and answer the question about toys
- Ask Ps look at part 1 on page 46.
 Who’s he? ( Nam)
 Who’s she ?( She’s Mai)
 Where are they? ( They are in the classroom)
. Give a few seconds for Ps to look at the first picture and elicit what the characters say . Give the meaning of unfamiliar words and have Ps repeat the language a few times. Repeat the procedure with the second picture.
- Do choral and individual repetition, pointing to the charaters speaking.
- Play the recording for Ps to listen and saying along.
Sentence patterns: What toys do you like ?
 I like . 
2. Point and say.
- Tell Ps look at part two and ask :
 How many pictures are there? ( four pictures)
 Point to each picture and elicit the meaning of the words.
truck : xe tải ( what is it?)
doll : con búp bê 
kite : con diều 
plane : máy bay ( Is this a plane?)
- Give a few seconds for Ps to look at the pictures and point to first picture and elicit the word to fill the gap. Put the sentences on the board . 
Example: 
 Picture a: What toys do you like?
 I like trucks.
 Picture e: What toys do you like?
 I like planes.
- Have Ps repeat it a few times.
- Do choral and individual repetition, using the pictures in the book.
- Get Ps to practise in pairs. Check as a class.
3. Let’s talk. 
- Tell Ps that they are going to practise more with their friends. Give a few seconds for Ps to look at the picture and read the text. Check their understanding and give feedback. Point to a room and elicit the word filling the gap. Put the sentence and the response on the board and have a pair act out the dialogue as an example before starting the activity. Put the sentence on the board and do choral and individual repetition.
Example: What toys do you like?
 I like planes.
- Have Ps work in pairs, Using the picture in the book. Go around to offer help and correct the pronounciation, If necessary.
- Call some pairs to act out the dialogue in front of the class.

- Practise saying What toys do you like?
 I like dolls.

Skills: Listening and reading,writing and singing.
Tasks: Listen and tick, Read and write and Let’s write.
B. Teaching aids : recordings.
C. Procedures : 
I. Warm up: Slap the board
 puzzle

II.New lesson:
4. Listen and tick.
a.Pre- listening.
- Whole class: have ss turn their books to page 47.
How many questions are there? ( three)
What are they talking about? ( toys)
 - Tell ss that they are going to listen to the recording, tick the information they hear with the correct pictures.
b. While - listening:
Audio script:
1. Mai: Do you like toys?
 Nam: Yes, I do
 Mai: What toys do you like?.
 Nam: I like planes.
 2. Nam: Do you like robots? 
 Mai: No, I don’t.
 Nam: What toys do you like .
 Mai: I like kites.
3. Nam: Do you like ships?
 Tony: No, I don’t.
 Nam: What toys do you like?
 Tony: I like truck.
 
- Play the recording all the way through for ss to listen, as they look closely at the pictures in their books
- Play the recording again for ss to listen and tick the correct pictures
- Replay the recording for ss to check their answers. Have ss trade their answer in groups for correction.
 Key: 1.b, 2.a, 3b.
c. Post- listening:
- Play the recording again for the whole to listen to reinforce their pronunciation.
Ask a few questions to ensure pupils’ comprehension of the listening text.
- Repeat the step with some other pairs for the rest pictures
- Have ss practise acting out the dialogue in pairs, using the pictures in their books. Monitor the activity and offer help. 
- Call on some perform the task at the front of the class. The rest of the class observe and give comments
- Have the whole class repeat all the phrases in chorus to reinforce their pronunciation
5. Read and complete.
a. Pre- reading:
- Whole class: have ss look at part 5, ask them to identify and describe the things in the pictures. 
What is it?
- Tell ss that they are going to read the text and use the information to fill in the gaps . 
b. While - reading.
- Have ss do the task individually and fill in the gaps, monitor the activity and offer help when necessary.
- Have ss trade their answers in pairs for correction
- Call on some ss to report their answers, the rest of the class listen and give comments.
- Give answer keys: 1. playroom	2. planes
 3. dolls	4. Ships
 5. kites	6. trucks
c. Post- reading:
- Have the whole class read each line of the texts in chorus to reinforce their pronuciation.
- Make a few questions to check ss’ comprehension of the sentences.
6. Let’s write.
- Tell ps that this is personalized activity in which ps write their answers using real facts.GivPs a few seconds to read the questions in silence. Call a Ps to give a demonstration of all questions before starting the activity.
Give Ps time to do the task.
- Tell Ps to swap and check their answers before checking as a class. Call two Ps to write their answers on the board and correct the spelling and grammatical erros, if necessary.D. Homelink. - Write part 5 on your notebooks.

 Nam: Yes, I do.
 Mai: How many dogs do you have?
 Nam: I have one dog
3. Nam: Do you have any cats?
 Mai: Yes, I do.
 Nam: How many cats do you have?
 Mai: I have three. 
 4. Mai: Do you have any parrots?
 Nam; Yes, I do.
 Mai: How many parrots do you have?
 Nam: I have two.

4. Listen and number.
How many pictures are there? (four)
- Tell Ps that they are going to listen and number the correct boxes. Give a few seconds for Ps to look at the pictures. Check understanding and give feedback.
- Play the recording three times for Ps to listen, do the task and check their answers.
- Get Ps to swap and check their answers before checking as a class.
