II. PRE-SPEAKING
* Pre teach vocabulary: 
- T elicits and presents new words by situation and examples , then models and writes on the board.

 A: What is the name of Russia's First artificial satellite?
B: Sputnik
A: How important was the artificial satellite to Russia?
B: The first artificial satellite marked the beginning of Space Age.
- T goes around and offer help if necessary, then calls on some pairs to stand up and practice.
- T corrects their mistakes if necessary.
IV. POST –SPEAKING: 
DISCUSSION
- T gets ss to work in pair to write a short paragraph about the one important event in space conquest
- T gives ss handouts
- T asks the winner to report the results to the whole class and calls on some other pairs to give out theirs.
V. HOMEWORK
 T asks ss to learn vocabulary and prepare for the next lesson.
- Work in groups.
- Look at the pictures and answer the T’s question.
- Go to the board and write their answers quickly
