Objectives: - By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to talk about life and activities in the countride. - Focus on reading and speaking skills. II. Teaching aids. - Lesson plan, text book, picture... III.Procedures 1. Warm up Teacher’s activities Student’s activities Content - Chatting: Ask Ss some questions about the countries. +Have you ever been to a countryside? +Are you familiar with the life in the countryside? +What do you know about the activities in the countryside? - Let Ss look at the pictures on page 22 and ask Ss the picture 6 “ What is he doing?” - Ask Ss to work in groups - Give feedback. Which activities do you like best if you go to the countryside? -Answer the questions. -Look at the pictures answer“ He is plowing ” -Work in groups - Copy * Getting started: 1) watering the vegetables 2) swimming 3) feeding the chickens 4) harvesting 5) feeding the pigs 6) plowing in the field 7) A buffalo boy is flying his kite 8) Some children are playing football 2. Pre-Reading Teacher’s activities Student’s activities Content - Present the text by asking the questions: + Do you have your homevillage in the countryside? + Do you sometimes go to the countryside? - Listen and answer. * Listen and read. +How do you get there? +What do you see on the way to your village? * Pre- teach vocabulary: -Elicit words from Ss - Jumbled words: bbomoa » bamboo bynnaa » banyan hinsre » shrine - Ask Ss to listen to the tape about the trip of Ba. - Ask: T: What did they do when they felt tired and hungry? - Modal “could” with “wish”. - Prepositions of time:on, at, in, under... - Listen, read and write. - Play a game - Listen to the tape and look at the book. - Listen and copy. *Vocabulary: - bamboo forest (n): lũy tre - banyan tree (n): cây đa, cây si - shrine (n): miếu thờ, am - river bank (n) : bờ sông - home village(n) : quê nhà - entrance (n) ; lối vào - hero (n) : anh hung - Everyone felt tired and hungry, so they sat down under the tree and had a snack. * “so” : Vì vậy, vì thế.
