 Lesson 1: Getting started – Listen and read
 I. Objectives:
- By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to produce the questions for an oral examination.
- Focus on speaking, reading and listening skills.
II. Language contents

 - Learn by heart, TV programs, examination, examiner, aspect of,...
 2.Structures:
 - Modal verbs with “if”.
 - Direct and reported speech.

 	1. Warm up

*Ask Ss some questions: “How do you learn English?”

+ Do you sometimes watch English TV program?

* Ask Ss to discuss on learning English.
 -Ex: I like listening to English tapes or English programs on the radio. I can improve my pronunciation through listening. I can understand what the foreigners say.
- Get Ss to compare with the partners.
 - Call on some Ss to answer

+ I like doing more grammar exercises in grammar books. I can learn and remember new structures

- Set the scene: “Lan is talking to Paola, a foreign student about the oral English examination which Lan has just taken.
- Ask some questions:
+Have you ever had an oral examination in English?
+If yes, What did the teacher ask you?
-Have Ss look at the dialogue and listen to the tape.
Pre-teach vocabulary:
 -Elicit words from Ss
Checking vocabulary:
 “Slap the board”
- Ask Ss to find the direct sentences.
+ Explain the structure: 
The examiner asked Lan “What is you name?”. Lan reported her question “She asked me what my name was”
+ Ask Ss to give the structure.
+ Have Ss repeat the direct: Yes/ No question in the English 8
-Present the conditional with modal verbs: 
-What must Lan do if she wants to attend the course?
-Listen to the Teacher.
