- Give meanings of some words or phrases.
Role play
Have Sts read the questions in exercise on page 24, work in pairs, play the role of A and B, ask and answer the question about their partner’s home village, using information in the box.
Tell Ss to cover the role that they don’t play.
3.While -Speaking: (15ms)
A: Where is your home village?
B: It’s to the west of the city.
A: How far is it from the city?
B: It’s about 15 km from the city?
A: How can you get there?
B: We can get there by bus.
A: How long does it take to get there?
B: It’s takes an hour.
A: What do people do for a living in your village?
B: They plant rice and raise cattle.
A: Does your village have a river?
B: There aren’t any rivers, but there is a big lake.
Post- Speaking: (12ms)
Guide Ss to answer the information about their own home village to make a short passage about your home village.

Call Ss to speak their passage.
