It was a beautiful day. The sun was shining, the sky was blue, and the weather was perfect. Lan was outside playing with her dog, Skippy. All of a sudden, the dog began behaving strangely. She kept running around in circles, (and didn't seem to be herself). Lan ran home with the dog to tell her mother what Skippy was doing. Lan's mother, Mrs. Quyen, told Lan that she heard on TV that there was a typhoon coming. Mrs. Quyen gathered her family and told them to find shelter in the home.
Suddenly, the sky became very dark. The storm came with strong winds and heavy rain. Mrs. Quyen and her family were scared. But soon the storm finished and everyone was glad. What a clever dog Skippy! She saved Lan from being catch in the typhoon.

B. Teaching aids: subboard. C. Teaching procedures: Activities Contents I/ Organization: (1’) + Who’s absent today? + What’s the date today? II/ Checking the old lesson: (5’) - S1: write new words. - S2: Read the text in part “Read”. - Introduce new lesson by answer some questions. III/ New lesson: (35’) 1. Pre- writing: - Ask Ss to read scan the lesson then find out the new words . - Explain the meaning of these words. - Checking new words:rub out and remember. - Ss work in groups of 6 to match the word cues in the box (P. 79) with the right pictures on page 80. - Students use the pictures and the word cues to tell the story.. - Presentation - Set the scene. 2. White- writing: - Divide the class into 3 or 4 groups, each group has 7 ss. - Ss write the story individually. - All the groups exchange their story to correct the mistakes. - Teacher monitors and notes down the typical mistakes. - Teacher gives indirect correction. 3. Post- writing: - Divide class into several groups from each group, choose one member to be in the judge board call on some Ss from groups to tell the story in front of class. Ss may tell the story. IV/ Feedback: (3’) - The main events of the writing story. V/ Homework: (1’) - Guide Ss to do homework. Attendance: ……………………….. * Answer the questions: 1.
