AIM & OBJECTIVES: 
After the lesson Ss will be able to:
-Know some common diseases/illness/sickness 
-Ask and answer questions about sickness
Grammar: 
-Past simple tense
-Structure: what was wrong with you?
 	 I had.
Skills: Target skill: Reading
 Others Skills: Speaking, writing, listening

Ss have finished part A- A check up

1.Warm-up (5)
-T organizes small game
Rule of game :
-Give ss 12 key words (call, fill, measure, start, stop,
weigh, be, give, have, keep, leave, take) which are put in the box
-Turn up the music and give the box to the ss.
-move the box around whole class
-when the music stops, the student who is holding will select 3 words randomly, then go to the board and write down the past form of regular and irregular verbs
2.Presentation (10’)
-Ask Ss “How many speakers are there?”
-Ask ss to look at the first balloon and say : Lan wasn’t here, she was absent.
-ask ss look at the second balloon and say: “What was wrong with her.”
-Introduce the situation of the lesson: 
“We are going to listen to the conversation between Hoa and Mr Tan .Yesterday Hoa was sick, you listen and find out the structures they use to talk about health.”
-Explain some new words by pictures, definition
+virus 
+sick note 
-call ss to read new words
-check ss’ pronunciation and their memory 
-Turn on the tape.
-Ask Ss to listen and read the dialogue in pair
-Answer : two speakers
-Listen
- Read new words in chorus and individually many times
-copy down 
4.Practice (15’)
- call some pairs to practice the dialogue in front of class 
-Correct their pronunciation
*Free Practice:
-ask Ss to practice in pairs
-Call on some pairs to ask and answer in front of 
the class
*Answer the questions 
-Ask ss answer the questions in textbook
-Call ss to go to the board and write down the answers
-work in pair and practice
