SECTION A: WHAT SHALL WE EAT? 
LESSON 1: A1, 2
I. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson Students can identify kinds of food: meat, vegetables, seafood. Talk about food: likes and dislikes 
II. PREPARATIONS: Textbook, pictures, extra-board, cassette player.
III. PROCEDURES:

1. Warm - up: (5’)
- Have Ss name some kind of food
- Name some kinds of food
2. Presentation: (15’)
Activity 1:
- Introduce some new words:
I. New words:
 Meat: pork, chicken,
Food vegetable:
 pea, carrot, spinach, cucumber
Fruit: papaya, pine apple, durian
- Checking vocabulary: What and where
Activity 2:
- Use three pictures to set the scene: Hoa and her aunt are at the market
- Have Ss look at the pictures and guess the answer:
What food they will buy?
Activity 3:
- Have Ss listen to the dialogue
- Introduce 2 structures: so/too
Examples:
I like meat.
Anh likes meat, too. //So does An.
Bong is a student.
 Namka is a student, too. //So is he.
- Guess the meaning of new words
- Practice the new words
- Do as directed
- Look at the pictures and guess the answer
- Listen to the tape and repeat
3. Practice: (10’)
Activity 1:
- Have Ss work in pair to practice the dialogue
- Call Ss to get feed back
Activity 2:
- Have Ss read the dialogue again and answer the question:
 What did they buy?
- Practice the dialogue
- Role play
- Work in group to answer the question 
4. Production: (10’)

- Have Ss complete the tables

II. PREPARATIONS: Textbook, pictures, extra-board, cassette player.
III. PROCEDURES:

1. Warm - up: (5’)
- Have students write the words relating to Cooking.
cook, heat, boil, fry, grill, roast, steam, 
- Whole class.
2. Pre - reading: (10’)
- Let students look at the pictures. Then guess What Hoa and her aunt did for dinner.
- Give them some question:
+ What did Hoa cook?
+ How did she prepare the food?
+ What did she do for dinner?
- Have Ss work in group to find out the answer themselves
- Call some Ss answer the questions
- Look at the pictures as requested. Guess what Hoa and her aunt did for dinner.
- Listen and answer.
- Work in group
- Some Ss answer the questions and write them on the board 
While - reading: (15’)
Activity 1:
- Introduce the new words
