- Suggest their plans and read or listen and understand a dialogue or a paragraph about holiday plans.
- Developing: four skills.

+ Why don’t we go to Hương pagoda?
Review immediate future
- Vocabulary: good, idea, that’s a good idea, far, minibus
III- Teaching aids:
- Text book, lesson plan, cassette tapes.
IV- Procedure:
1. Warm up:

Content
- Ask SS to recall how to use the immediate future and recall new words.
- Practice.
Presentation:
- Ask SS to tell the names of the interesting places in VN which they’d like to visit during summer holidays.
- Introduce the structures “Let’s”.
- Suggest them to use the new structures and the place where they intend to spend their holidays.
- Introduce the new topic.
- Let SS listen to the cassette.
- Introduce the way people suggest with “Let’s”

“Why don’t we ”
- Give some more examples.
- Use pictures to set the new situation review the words.
- Help SS to retell the structures studied by some examples.
- Tell some places of interests where you intend to spend your holidays.
- Listen and pay attention to the new structures.
- Use new structures and make suggestions.
- Listen to the cassette.
- Notice the structures and try to give examples as much as possible.
- Look at pictures and listen to the teacher.
- Review the vocabulary.
- Practice.
- Try to retell.
1. Listen and read:
New words:
- good idea: ý kiến hay
- that’s a good idea: đó là 1 ý kiến hay
- far: xa
- minibus (n): ô tô (buýt) 8 -> 12 chỗ
Structures:
Use:
Let’s = let us
(Là câu mệnh lệnh dùng để đưa ra 1 đề nghị, 1 lời khuyên có nghĩa)
Eg: Let’s go sailing.
Let’s + V
What about going sailing?
Why don’t we go sailing?
Why don’t we + go + V ?
- Let’s infinitive
Eg: Let’s go.
- Why don’t we ?
Eg: Why don’t we go Huế?
- What about + gerund ?
Eg: What about going Huế?
Practice:
- Listen to the cassette again and practice in groups of 4 SS each.
- Correct.
- Explain how to work on the exercise.
- Let SS practice in pairs, ask and answer the questions.
- Correct the exercises.
- Attract students’ attention by using some questions.
- Introduce the pictures and give them the cues.
- Let SS practice in pairs.
- Call some of SS, ask them to do the exercise before the class and correct the mistakes if there are any.
- Have them take notes.
- Retell how to make suggestions with “Let’s”.
- Listen to the cassette again then practice with the partners.
- Listen to the teacher’s instruction.
- Practice in pairs, looking at the pictures.
- Check the answers.
- Take notes and learn by heart.
