SS should be taught how to talk about sports and activities. - Developing: four skills. II- Language content: Grammar: Review the new words and structures. III- Teaching aids: - Text book, lesson plan, cassette tapes IV- Procedure: Warm up: Teacher’s work Students’ work Content - Ask some SS some questions and let them answer loudly before class. - Practice. Presentation: - Ask SS to list the activities they often do. - List the activities you often do. - play games - play soccer - go fishing - go sailing - picnic - go to the zoo Practice: - Let them practice in pairs the dialogue like the model. - Ask them to write their activities in their notebook. - Practice with your partners. - Write your own activities in your notebook. * Make dialogue with a partner: Eg: What do you do in the fall? -> I often go jogging in the fall. * Write: In the spring, I often play soccer, I often play volleyball, I usually ride my bike and I always go to school. IV- Procedure: 1. Warm up: Teacher’s work Students’ work Content - Ask SS to recall the words different seasons. - Answer. Presentation: - Ask SS about their intention for their holidays and tell them about some interesting places. - Introduce the dialogue. - Let them listen to the cassette and repeat. - Explain how to ask questions with “How long ” and how to use the expression “for + (phrase) a period of time - Listen to the teacher and try to tell him/her about your intention for your holidays. - Listen to the introduce. - Listen and notice how to use the expression “for + a period of time” to answer the question, beginning with “How long?” 1. How long Practice: - Ask questions and tell them to roles of Ba and Lan to answer. - Practice in pairs. - Let them ask and answer the questions in this section. - Correct their answer. - Help SS to make new dialogues as they practice with their partners. - Call some pairs of SS ask them to practice the dialogue before class. - Ask them to rewrite the dialogues. - Play the roles of Ba and Lan to practice asking and answering. - Practice in pairs. - As and answer the questions as the teacher requested. - Try to make new dialogues and practice with partners, following the model given. - Practice in pairs before class. Answer. Then answer in your exercise book: a. Lan’s going to visit Huế. b. She’s going to stay with her aunt and uncle. c. She’s going to stay for a week. d. She’s going to visit the citadel. 3. Future and sequencing words: first, then next, after that, finally. - SS should be taught how to talk about vacation plans and about Phương and Mai’s vacation. - Developing: four skills. II- Language content: Grammar: - Vocabulary: after that, finally, grandfather, grandmother, grandparents III- Teaching aids: - Text book, lesson plan, cassette tapes. IV- Procedure: 1. Warm up: Teacher’s work Students’ work Content - Ask SS asking and answering the questions about “Ba and Lan” and ask SS to recall the words - Answer. Presentation: - Introduce the situation and explains new words. - Have the SS listen to the tape. - Have the SS read the text. - Listen and write. - Read. 4. Listen and repeat: New words: - after that: sau đó - finally: cuối cùng - grandmother (n): bà nội/ ngoại - grandfather (n): ông nội/ ngoại - grandparents (n): ông bà (nội/ngoại) - then: sau đó thì Practice: - Introduce the text. - Ask questions to draw their attention and have them answer. - Tell them the details in the text. - Ask SS listen and read the text them find out the information to answer. - Advise them to do the exercise, using the information given in part 4.
