I.Objectives

+ Make suggestions
+ Give the instructions to one of the places on the map
+ Known the names of the places in Vietnam as well as in the world.

1.Warm up:
- Teacher asks some questions:
+ Do you usually visit Da Nang inthe summer?
+ What is there in Da Nang?
+ Is it an old ancient town?
2. Presentation
- T asks students to look at the picture and answer the questions.
+Where are Nick, Khang and Phong? 
+What might be happening to them? 
+What are they doing?
-T can also ask students to share any recent experiences of being lost: 
 + Have you ever got lost? 
 +Where and when?’ 
 +How did you feel then?
 + What did you do?’
- Play the recording. 
-T explains the new words in this dialogue by picture or gives situations
-Ss listen and read new words
- Call some students to read before the class.
-T can play the recording more then once. 
- Students read the dialogue in pairs
- Ss work independently. 
-Students can share answers before discussing as a class. 
- T calls some students read the part a again
-Tell Ss to refer back to the conversation to find the phrases. Practice saying them together (play be recording again as a model if necessary). 
-First, model the role - play with a more able St. 
-Then, ask pairs to role - play the short conversations before demonstrating for the class .
-Teacher asks students to look at the pictures and T explains new words
- Students read new words.
- Have Ss quickly match each place (in the pictures) with its name. 
-Then play it again, pausing after each item and asking them to repeat chorally and individually. 
-Correct their pronunciation. With a weaker class, ask for translation to make sure they understand. 
-With a stronger class, T may wish to ask some additional questions
 E.g. What can you do there? 
 Is there one in our town? 
 Where is it? 
3. Practice
-First, model this activity with a more able St. 
-Ask Ss to work in pairs.
- Call some pairs to practice in front of the class.
-Teacher explains directions in the box with the pictures
- Have Ss quickly match each instruction with the diagram.
-Check their answer. 
 (If Ss do not understand the sentences, use the diagrams to work the meaning out from the context. If it is a weaker class, ask for translation to make sure they understand. 
-T may wish to ask some additional questions
E.g. Can you tell me the way to the post office near here?
- Teacher gives the map

2. Presentation:
- Lead - in: T chooses two Ss of very different height and asks them to stand up. . -T asks the class: Who is taller” 
-T may give another example, 
Eg: two ruler or desks: long - longer. 
-Ask Ss to say what taller and longer are in Vietnamese 
-T introduces the subject of the lesson: Comparative adjectives.
- T writes some adjectives on the board and explains the simplest ways to identify the number of syllables in an English word 
- Teacher explains comparative adjectives by the instructions and gives the form
- Explain how to add "er" after short adjectives

- Students read aloudly the introduction and teacher asks Ss to complete the sentences with the comparative form of the adjectives in brackets.

1.Warm up.
Ask sts some questions.

+ Is it unpolluted?
+ Are roads in your neighborhood narrow?
- Ask sts to do the same : ask and answer the questions about their neighborhood
2. Presentation.

Lead - in: Before Ss open their books, ask them if they know about Hoi An. T can say: Today, we are going to listen to an audio guide to Hoi An. Please think: What to you know about Hoi An? Anything you an remember about it. Allow 20-30 seconds for Ss to think, then repeat the question and have Ss brainstorm about Hoi an. 
- Play the recording . First, ask Ss to listen only. Then play the recording again and allow Ss to fill in the gaps as they listen. Ask Ss to share their answers in pairs, before playing the recording a final time to allow the pairs to check their answers. Then, Ask Ss to read the audio guide again, paying a
