GRAMMAR PRACTICE
 I. OBJECTIVES: 
 Teaching aim: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to the usage of Tobe, how to use question words, this/ that, greet people, review numbers.

1. Warm - Up: (5’)
- Have Ss answer these questions:
1. What’s your name?
2. How old are you?
3. Where do you live?
4. How many people are there in your family?
5. What do you do?
6. What does your father/ mother do?
2. Exercises: (35’)
a. Exercise 1:(10’) To be
- Review form of the verb Tobe and uses: am, is, are
- Have Ss read exercises 1, 2 and 3 on page 40 and fill in the blanks with the correct form of verb: Tobe.
- Call some Ss to read the answer. 
 1a) am, am, is, are.
 1b) am, is, is, are, are.
 1c) a - are, am. b - is, isn’t.
 c – is, is. d – are, aren’t. 
b. Exercise 2: (5’) Imperative (Commands):
- Ask Ss to play game “ Simon Says”
 + Simon says: “Stand up”
 “Sit down” 
 “Come in”
 + Simon says: “Open your book”
 + Simon says: “Close your book”
c. Exercise 3: (5’) How many….. ?:
- Ask Ss to play game “Lucky numbers”

- Show Ss the statements.

- Ask them to work in pairs.
- Correct if there are any mistakes.
e. Exercise 5: (5’) Numbers
- Get Ss to write the English words for the numbers. 
1 one, 5___, 8___, 10___, 20___, 30___, 50___, 70___, 90___, 100___.
- Read the English words.
- Get Ss to write the numbers for words.
Four 4, seven ___, nine ___, eleven ___, fifteen ___, twenty – five ___, sixty ___, seventy – five ___, eighty ___.
f. Exercise 6: (7’) Greetings
 - Put the dialogue on the board which is only words. The words are cues.
- Model the dialogue.

- Ask Ss to play guessing game
 a desk - a table - a chair - a book.
- Get a student to come to the front and choose one of the things. Get the rest of the class to guess which thing it is. The first student guesses the thing correctly comes up to the front, chooses a new thing and the game continues

- Ask Ss to review vocabulary and grammar points (Unit1 – Unit3)
- Have them prepare: Forty-Five Minute Test
- Work in individual.
