3. Let’s talk.

- Tell Ps that they are going to practice more with their friends, Draw ss’ attention to the picture and elicit the characters’ names and the words to fill the gaps. Put them on the board and have the class repeat the questions and the answer a few times. Call an open pair to give a demonstration. -Correct the pronunciation, if necessary.

-Get Ps to work in pairs and in groups of four, using the characters’ names in the book or their own names.

-Call a few pairs to do the dialogue in front of the class.

STEPS
ACTIVITIES
I. Objectives:
By the end of the lesson ss can: 
- Ask and respond to the question .
- Spell a name and ask how to spell a name, using “How do you spell your name?”
II. Language focus:
* Sentences patterns: - How do you spell your name?
	 L - I- N- D-A 
* Vocabularies: spell.
III. Teaching aids:
-Teaching plan, textbook, picture.
VI. Procedure. 
A. Warm up: 
-Spend a few minutes to revise What’s your name? 
 I’m + (name) 
-Call a few pairs to do the dialogue in front of the class then get the class to sing the Alphabet song.
B. Main lesson
1. Look, listen and repeat: 
- Tell ss that they are going to spell names. Draw ss attention to the first picture and elicit the name of the characters and what they say. Give feedback.
-Get ss to repeat the text in the bubbles a few times. Repeat the procedure with the second picture. Explain how to spell one’s name, E.g. Linda. Have Ps practice spelling several names.
- Do choral and individual repetition of the language pointing to the characters speaking.
 Play the recording for Ps to listen and say along.
2. Point and say. 
- Tell Ps that they are going to practice spelling names. Draw ss’ attention to the first picture and elicit the name of the characters and what each one says. Fill the bubble put the question and answer on the board. Have ss repeat the language a few times, repeat the procedure with the second picture.
-Get ss to work in pairs. 
-Check as a class.

C. Consolidation
-Remind sentences patterns with ss’ name : 
 * How do you spell your name?
	 H-O-A ; T-H-A-O
-Call some ss to check their spell skill in front of class.
D. Homework : 
-Ask your other friends with question and answer How do you spell your name?
-Prepare for the next lesson : Unit 2, lesson 2, part 4,5,6.
