I. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, ss will be able to distinguish the sounds / nt/ / nd / / nө/ / ns/ /nz/ , distinguish could and be able to, and learn about tag questions.

I. WARM UP Pictures
- T shows the pictures and asks ss to give the name of each and write on the board
- T underlines the vowel- sounds to help ss recognize the sounds

- T introduce 5sounds and the lesson.
II. PRONUNCIATION
- T gives some words have the sound / nt/ / nd / / nө/ / ns/ /nz/ and asks ss to read out loud in class

Activity 1 Exercise 1: Complete the sentences, using could, couldn't or was/ were (not) able to:
- T asks ss do exercise 1 individually and then compare their answers with another student
- T runs through words
- T calls on some ss to read their answers
- T gives feedbacks and correct answers
2. Tag questions:
- T gives the situation
T: You haven't had lunch, have you?
S: No, I haven't
T: Is the sentence a question?
S: Yes, it is. It contain a tag question
- T revises how to make tag questions
- T asks ss to make the tag questions as the examples
Activity 2: Exercise 2 : Complete the questions by adding the tag questions.
- T asks ss to do the exercise 2 on the hand-out
- T asks ss to work individually to choose the answers, then compare their answers with a friend.
- T calls on some ss to read out loud the answers
- T gives feedbacks and correct answers
