LESSON 4: WRITING
I. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, ss will be able to practice writing a friendly letter of invitation and understand its organization as well as some phrases of accepting and confusing an invitation, write a friendly letter of invitation, based on the given situations.
II.TEACHING AIDS: textbook, pictures, handout.
III.PROCEDURES:

I. WARM UP: Chatting
- T shows the envelope with a stamp, then asking ss some questions.
1/ What is it?
2/ How often do you write it?
3/ Who do you often write to?
4/ Have you ever received a confusing letter from your friends?
5/ Have you ever refused an invitation?
- T asks ss to give the answers.
- T listens and gives feedback.
II. PRE-WRITING
1. TASK 1 matching
- T gives some common ways of accepting or refusing an invitation.
 Expression of invitation:

III. WHILE- WRITING
TASK 3: Writing a short letter of accepting and confusing an invitation to visit about Cuc Phuong National Park.
- T asks ss to think of the greeting, the organization, the ending of the letter they’re going to write first, then think of the reason why they refuse or accept the invitation.
- T lets ss to work individually in 10 minutes.
- T goes around to help ss if necessary.
IV. POST –WRITING 
PEER CORRECTION
- T comments and gives the feedback.
V. HOMEWORK
- Prepare for the next lesson.
- Do the exercise on the handout.
- Follow T’s requiring.
- Listen to their friend and give remarks.
