- Explain that Mai’s family will go to Singapore for a holiday.
- Ask Ss to listen and tell you when the family plans to go there.
- Play the recording, then let Ss give reasons for their answers. 
- Go through the statements with Ss. Ask them to identify key words that carry important information.
- Play the recording again.
- Ask for answers, and encourage Ss to give reasons for their answers.
* Listening
5. Listen to Mai’s family talking to a travel agent about their trip to Singapore. When do they want to go and why?

Allow Ss to work in groups of 4, and each group member will write about one heading only.

Write the contents of a website introducing the city/town where you live or the nearest city/town to where you live. Choose four of these headings to include in your writing.
