Lesson 3 Duration: 2 periods I-Objectives: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to pronounce correctly the questions and answers with the correct intonation.Develope four skills. II-Language contents: 1)Vocabulary : 2)Intonation 1.What would you like to be in the future? I’d like to be a nurse. 2.Why would you like to be a nurse? Because I’d like to look after patients. 2/LISTEN AND MARK THE SENTENCE INTONATION .THEN SAY THE SENTENCES ALOUD 1.What would He like to be in the future? He’d like to be a teacher. 2.Where would he like to work? He’d like to work in a school. 3.Why would he like to be a teacher? Because He’d like to teach young children. 3.LET’S CHANT What would you like to be in the future? HOMELINK: - Do exercise A,B in W.book. - Gets students play the game Have Ss open the book , look at the questions and answer Draw.ss’attention to the intonation Get ss to repeat a few times. Ask the ss to look at sentences Play the recording all the way through for Ss to listen while they are reading Have Ss practice the questions and answer in groups Monitor the activity and offer help when necessary/ correct typical pronunciation errors. Call on a group to recite the sentences - Provides the answers and explanations - Gets students to read in chorus all the words -Play th CD for ss to chant -Follow the T’s guides -Congratulate the winners( claps the hands). -listen carefully - Choral repetition - Work in groups - Work in pairs - Role play - Check - Listen and repeat. Teacher introduce” today you are going to do a revision of five units (11-15). While-listening: -Play the tape firstly, sts check their prediction -Play the tape secondly, sts listen and number -Play the tape again, sts check their answers. -Call on some Sts to report their answers. Others listen and comment. Post-listening: -Ask sts about the content of the listening text. * Pre-reading: -Have sts look at the passage on page 37. Give sts the task. -While-reading: 1st reading: Ss read individually. 2nd reading: Ss do the task. Check sts’ answers. Post-reading: Make a few questions to check Ss’ comprehension of the sentences. - Have sts complete the sentences on page 37 - Have sts talk with using pictures on page 37 Pre-speaking: -tell ss that they are going to complete the paragraph about themselves,using word cues Give sts the task. While-speaking: - complete all sentences. Have sts practice speaking individually.
