I. Warm up

- Divide class into 3 groups and introduce the game for Ss
- Ask them to play

Week 10 Teaching date: 23/11/2020 Period 33 SHORT STORY: CAT AND MOUSE I. Object: - By the end of this lesson, students will be able to PRACTICE all the knowledge they have learn. Develop speaking skill. - Ss look after , solve problems and study themselves. - Studious and obedient students and love their friends. II. Teaching methods: - Communicative approach. - Techniques: Ask and answer (say individually);Work in pairs/ groups;Discuss. III. Teaching aids: - Teacher’s aids: student’s and teacher’s book, word cards, pictures, puppets. - Students’ aids: books, notebooks, workbooks. IV. Languages focus: Vocabulary: V. Procedures: 1.Presentation Set the scene: Have Ss look at the pictures and introduce six characters. Teacher describe the content of each picture. Ss look at the picture and read the story Ss look at the picture carefully and listen to the tape. 2. Practice a. Answer the questions. Ss look & read silently the question. Then answer questions in individual. Ask them to play lucky number. Introduce the game and give for example if necessary. Tell the winner. b.Unscramble these words from the story. Ask Ss to look at the activity Ask them: “what do we do in this task?’ to check their comprehension. Have Ss to work in dividually. Call Some Ss to write answer on the board and then check their answers. c. Read and complete Ss look & read silently the sentences. Then complete the sentences in individual. Ask some questions to ensure Ss’ comprehension of the listening text. d.Work in pairs. Talk about your last holiday. Ask Ss to work in pairs and then ask,answer about their hoilday Give them some instructions: “Where did you go on holiday?”, “What did you do there?”,etc. Call some pairs to practise in front of class and check them. e.Read and match. II.New lesson Look, listen and repeat. Have Ss look at the four pictures to discuss the context in which the language is used. Ask them questions to check their comprehension. Play the recording once or twice for Ss to listen and repeat the language. Do choral and individual repetition, pointing to the characters speaking. Lead to the structure “How many lesson do you have today? Point and say. Tell Ss to practise asking and answering questions about where someone will be, using “How many lesson do you have today?” ->I have ..
