I. OBJECTIVES: By the end of this lesson, students will be able to practice futher on asking and answering questions about quanlity of things through listening and reading.

II. Procedure
1. Warm-up: Chatting
- T goes around and asks ss about the quanlity of things in the class.
- t gives feedback.
- T introduces new lesson.
2. Listen and number.
- Have Ss open the book on page 27 and runs through.
- Elicit the identification of the things in the pictures.
- Open prediction; ss guess- T writes their prediction on the board.
- Ask Ss to listen to the record and match the information they hear to the pictures and number the pictures.
- 1st:Play the record all the way through for Ss to listen while they are looking the pictures in their books
- 2nd: play the record for Ss to listen and number.
- 3rd: play the record for Ss to check their answers.
- Have Ss trade their answers in pairs for correction.
- Ask some questions to ensure Ss’ comprehension of the listening text.

Objectives: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to assk and answer questions about quanlity of things. * Teaching aids: pictures, computer... II. Procedures: 1. Warm up: T asks ss to read from one to ten. T gives feedback and introduces new lesson. 2. Vocabulary. How many có bao nhiêu (explanation) Cup: tách (realia) Fan: quạt (realia) Mirrors: cái gương (situation) Window cửa sổ (realia) * Checking vocabulary: R-O-R. 3. Look, listen and repeat. Have Ss to look at the book at page 26; identify the characters in the picture and what they are talking. Play the recording and asks Ss to listen to the tape twice. T asks Ss to listen and repeat in chorus three times. Play the recording again for Ss to repeat the dialogue. Let Ss practice the dialogue in pairs Gets some pairs to read it aloud Play the recording again for the whole class to repeat each line in the speech bubbles to reinforce their pronunciation . T gives a situation to present (using picture) T elicits the structures by asking Ss to speak out the model sentence How many+ plural noun+ are there There are+ quanlity 4. Point and say. Have Ss look at the pictures (part 2). Have Ss to repeat the sentences in the bubbles a few times . Have the class repeat all the phrases. Have Ss to work in pairs. Monitor the activity, check the pronunciation (sound, assimilation of sound and intonation) and offer help when necessary. Call on some pairs to perform the task at the front of the class. Others observe and comment. Make some questions to check Ss’ comprehension of language. Have the whole class repeat all the phrases to reinforce their pronunciation.. 5. Let’s talk. - Have Ss look at the pictures on page (part 3) and identify the things in the pictures. Have Ss to repeat the sentences in the bubbles a few times before letting them practice freely. Have Ss to work in pairs (use the names in their books or the real names to practice). Monitor the activity and offer help when necessary/ correct typical pronunciation errors. - Call on a pair to demonstrate at the front of the class. - Have the whole class repeat all the phrases to reinforce their pronunciation. 6. Develop speaking and listening skills. * Resources: textbook, pictures, record, II. Procedure 1. Warm-up: T checks vocabulary at previous lesson T gives feedback. T introduces new lesson. 2. Listen and repeat. Have Ss open the book on page 28, look at the words fan, cup and notice the letter coloured differently in both words. Produce the sound of the letter a in the word fan and u in the word cup a fan There's a fan on the wall. u cup There's a cup on the table. T plays the record for ss to listen twice. T plays again for ss to repeat twice. T asks ss to repeat and calls some ss to read. T gives feedback. 3. Listen and write. T asks ss to look at part 2 on page 28 and guess the words in the blanks. Play the recording all the way through for Ss to listen. Ss write the words that they hear. Compare with their partners. Keys: 1. cup; 2. fan 4. Let's chant: How many desk? T runs through. Ss listen to the chant 3 times. Ss listen sentence by sentence and repeat. Ss listen and read in choral.
