Lesson 3. (part 4, 5, 6)

I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to practice futher on asking and answering questions about the location of things in the house.

* Teaching aids: pictures, record

II. Procedures:

1. Warm up:

- T calls some ss to recite the chant on page 22.

- The others listen and give feedback.

- T gives feedback and introduces new lesson.

2. Read and tick.

- T asks ss to open the book on page 23 and runs through.

- Set the sence: “you are going to read the sentences to get the information to tick the pictures are mentioned "

- 1st reading: Ss read the sentences individually and check their prediction.

- 2nd reading: Ss do the task.

- Monitor the activity and offer help when necessary.

- Have Ss trade the answers in pairs for correction.

- Call on some Ss to report their answers. Others listen and comment.

- Make a few questions to check Ss’ comprehension of the sentences.

3. Read and write.

- T runs through.

- T asks ss to read the dialogue and complete the sentences.

- Monitor the activity and offer help when necessary.

- Have Ss trade the answers in pairs for correction.

- Call on some Ss to report their answers. Others listen and comment.

4. Projects. Draw your bedroom and discribe it to your classmates.

- T gives the task and guides.

- Ss work individually.

- T goes around and observers.

- T calls ss to show the pictures and gives feedback.

I. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to pronounce the sound ch, wh.
Develop speaking and listening skills.
* Resources: textbook, pictures, record, 
II. Procedure 
1. Warm-up: 
T checks vocabulary at previous lesson
T gives feedback.
T introduces new lesson.
2. Listen and repeat.
Have Ss open the book on page 22, look at the words chair, where and notice the letter coloured differently in both words.
Produce the sound of the letter ch in the word chair and whin the word where
ch: chair 	It's under the chair.
wh: where	Where's the ball?
T plays the record for ss to listen twice.
T plays again for ss to repeat twice.
T asks ss to repeat and calls some ss to read.
T gives feedback.
3. Listen and write.
T asks ss to look at part 2 on page 22 and guess the words in the blanks. 
Play the recording all the way through for Ss to listen. 
Ss write the words that they hear.
Compare with their partners.
Keys: 1. where; 2. chair
4. Let's chant: where's the book?
T runs through.
Ss listen to the chant 3 times.
Ss listen sentence by sentence and repeat.
Ss listen and read in choral.
T calls some ss to read and gives comment.
* T calls the ss under average to read the chant again.

Lesson 1( part 1, 2, 3)
I.OBJECTIVES: By the end of this lesson, students will be able to ask and answer questions about things in the room.

II. PROCEDURE
1. Warm-up: Shark attack: _ _ _ _
T introduces the game and its rule.
T controls- ss play.
T gives feedback.
Answer keys: there
2. Vocabulary
Map:	bản đồ	(visual)
Sofa:	ghế tràng kỉ	(visual)
Wardbore:	tủ đựng đồ	 	 (explantion)
Cupboard:	tủ trà	(visual)
* check vocabulary: R-O-R
3. Look, listen and repeat.
Ask Ss to identify the characters in the picture on page 24 and what they are doing.
Set the scene “you are going to listen to Mai talking about her room with Linda.
Play the recording and asks Ss to listen to the tape twice.
T asks Ss to listen and repeat in chorus twice.
Have whole class repeat all the phrases a few times to reinforce their pronunciation 
T elicits from ss:
Are there any + name of things + in the room?
Yes, there are/ No, there aren't.
4. Point and say 
Have Ss look at the pictures.
Ask them to identify the things in the pictures and what they should say. Fill the bubbles and have Ss to repeat the lines a few times
T models:
Are there any maps in the room?
Yes, there are.
Repeat the step with a few more pairs.
Ask Ss to practice making and responding to action using picture a, b, c and d
Monitor the activity, check the pronunciation (sound, assimilation of sound and intonation) and offer help when necessary.
Call on some pairs to perform the task at the front of the class. Others observe and comment.
Make some questions to check Ss’ comprehension of language
Have the whole class repeat all the phrases to reinforce their pronunciation.
Some Ss volumteer come to the class, the other listen and give the coment.
5. Let's talk.
Have Ss look at the pictures on page 24 and identify the things in the pictures. 
Fill in the speech bubbles with the correct phrases promted by Ss
Are there any ?
Yes, there are/ No, there aren't.
Have Ss to repeat the sentences in the bubbles a few times before practicing
 freely. (use the pictures in their books or role – play the exchanges
Have Ss to work in pairs to practicing.
Monitor the activity and offer help when necessary/ correct typical pronunciation errors.
Call on a pair to demonstrate at the front of the class.
Open pairs- close pairs.
T gives feedback.

* Resourse: textboook, record
II. PROCEDURE
1. Warm-up: slap the board
T introduces the game and write the words on the board: sofa, wardbore, cuboard
T devides class into 2 teams: A and B.
T controls- ss play.
T gives feedback and introduces new lesson.
2. Listen and tick.
Have Ss look at pictures on page 25 and identify the things in the rooms.
Set the scence: “you are going to listen to the recording, match the information they hear with the pictures and tick the box in the appropriate picture".
1st:Play the recording all the way through for Ss to listen while they are
looking the pictures in their books.
2nd: play the recording for Ss to listen and tick the correct pictures.
3rd: play the recording for Ss to check their answers.
Have Ss trade their answers in pairs for correction.
Ask some questions to ensure Ss’ comprehension of the listening text.
*Answer keys: 1. a;2. b.
3. Look, read and write.
Have Ss look at pictures part 2 and gives the task. 
Have Ss to work individually to complete the sentences.
Monitor the activity and offer help when necessary/ correct typical pronunciation errors.
Call on a pair to demonstrate at the front of the class.
Have the whole class repeat all the phrases to reinforce their pronunciation.
