Review how to ask and answer about school facilities. Develop speaking skill. * Resources: textbook, pictures, record, II. Procedure 1. Warm-up: T calls some ss to sing the song "My neww pen" t gives feedback. T introduces new lesson. 2. Listen and repeat. Have Ss open the book page 62, look at the words gym, look and notice the letter coloured differently in both words. Produce the sound of the letter i in the word it and o in the word orange i it What colour is it? 0 orange It's orange. T plays the record for ss to listen twice. T plays again for ss to repeat twice. T asks ss to repeat and calls some ss to read. T gives feedback. 3. Listen and write. T runs through. Ask Ss to say what they think about the blanks. Play the recording all the way through for Ss to listen . Ss write the words they hear. Compare with their parners before checking as a class. Ask ss to readaloud the sentence. Keys: 1. it; 2.orange. 4. Let's chant: What colour is it? T runs through. Play the recording all the way through for Ss to listen while they are reading the chant in their books. Call on a group of six: three of them to repeat each line of the chant, other three clap the syllables. Have Ss practice the chant in groups and clap the syllables. Monitor the activity and offer help when necessary/ correct typical pronunciation errors. Call on a group to recite the chant. The others clap the syllables Make a few questions to check Ss’ comprehension of language Have the whole class recite the chant to reinforce their pronunciation. 5. Warm up: T calls some ss to recite the chant on page 62. The others listen and give feedback. T gives feedback and introduces new lesson. 2. Read and match. T asks ss to open the book on page 63 and runs through. - Set the sence: “you are going to read the sentences to get the information to match with the respond " - 1st reading: Ss read the sentences individually and check their prediction. - 2nd reading: Ss do the task. - Monitor the activity and offer help when necessary. - Have Ss trade the answers in pairs for correction. - Call on some Ss to report their answers. PROCEDURE 1. Warm-up: Lucky number. T introduces the game and its rule. T devides class into 2 teams: A and B. T controls- ss play. T gives feedback and introduces new lesson. 2. Listen and tick. Have Ss look at Pictures on page 65. T runs though all pictures. Identify the school things and predict pictures are mentioned. Set the scence: “you are going to listen to the recording, match the information they hear to the pictures and tick the box in the appropriate picture". 1st:Play the recording all the way through for Ss to listen while they are looking the pictures in their books. 2nd: play the recording for Ss to listen and tick the correct pictures. 3rd: play the recording for Ss to check their answers. Warm up: Brainstorm: Activities at break time T introduces the game and its rule. T controls- ss play. T gives feedback and introduces new lesson. 2. Vocabulary. Hide and seek: trốn tìm (situation) skipping: nhảy dây (explanation) skating: trượt pa-tanh (visual) blind man's bluff: bịt mắt bắt dê (explanation) * checking vocabulary: what and where. 3. Look, listen and repeat. Have Ss to look at the book on page 66; identify the characters in the pictures and what they are speaking. *set the scene: you are going to listen to Mai and Linda expressing like/dislike Play the recording and asks Ss to listen to the tape twice. T asks Ss to listen and repeat in chorus three times. Have Ss listen to the recording as they read the lines in the speech bubbles Play the recording again for Ss to repeat the dialogue two times. Divide the class into two groups. Allocate the line of Mr Robot and Mai. Let Ss practice the dialogue in pairs. Gets some pairs to read it aloud. Play the recording again for the whole class to repeat each line in the speech . T gives a situation to present (using picture). T elicits the structures by asking Ss to speak out the model sentence: Form: Do you like ? Yes, I do/ No, I don't. 4. Point and say. T runs through. T models: Do you like skipping? Yes, I do.
