Activity 1: Warm up(8’)

- Draw two teddy bears on the board, color them with yellow. 
- Ask Ss Are they green/blue/yellow teddy bears? And have Ss to answer Yes, they are. No, they aren’t.
- Play the CD, have children to listen and look at the TV. Play the CD again and have children to raise their hand when they hear green, blue or yellow.
 - Play the CD again, put the lyric on the board and have them to listen and sing along.

- Prepare picture of pyramid and camel and put on the board, have Ss describe:
+ What can they see in the picture? 
+ Have you ever seen it?
- Describe the picture.
- Tell them they are pyramids and camels, and they’re from Egypt; have them repeat the 2 words.
- Read the word Pyramids, camels.

Activity 1: Read about a famous place in Egypt.
 Have Ss look at the picture of pyramids on TV and describe:
- What do you see in the picture?
- Are there many people there? 
 Look at the pictures and answer teacher’s questions:
The first picture:
+ Pyramid
- Then put the sentences: “It’s one of the pyramids at Giza in Egypt. They’re very popular with tourists” on the board.
 Have Ss read the first text.
- Read after teacher.
Then ask Ss again: What is it? - Pyramid
. Where it is? – Egypt.
 Are they popular with tourist? – Yes, they are.
-Move to the picture of camel and ask:
+ What’s it? And then add the sentence
 “It’s a decorated camel”.
- Look at the pictures and answer the T’s questions.
- Con lạc đà.
+ What color is it? And then add the sentence: “Look at the colors. The camel is brown and its decorations are blue, yellow, red, orange, pink, and green.”
- Then ask Ss: 
What is it? – decorated camel. 
What color is it? – Brown, its decorations are blue, yellow, red, orange, pink, and green. Is it typical in Egypt? - Yes, it is.
-Listen to the teacher.
 Read the speech in the book and pause after some words: pyramid, Egypt, popular, tourist, camel, decoration, green, typical) and have students repeat these words after the pause of the teacher.
 Point to the words in their books and repeat the words after the pause of the teacher.

Activity 2: Circle the correct answers.
- Have Ss do exercise, then give the answers:

- Guide ss to make a pyramid from Egypt.
-Guide ss to draw and colour a famous place in Vietnam.
-Guide ss to do exercises in work book(page 42)

 Objective: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
+ Unit objective: give their name and identify others.
+ Lesson objective: practice reading skills and explore the value of friendliness. 
 Materials required for the lesson: 
 - textbook, CD, chalk board
Activity 1: Warm up(5 minutes)

2. Write on board B-I-N-G-O, have them to spell that word two or three times, then play the song Bingo and set some action for the word farmer and dog, act out the song then have Ss to follow.

Activity 2: Teacher’s presentation(15’)

1. - Review: Say Hello. I’m THUY.What’s your name? to some Ss and have them to reply.
1. - Reply the teacher.
Materials: textbook, page 11, CD, chalkboard.
2.Pre-teach: friends
- Ask 2 children who are friends from the class to come up to the front of the class to introduce themselves. Then point to the children and say They’re friends. Repeat with another pair and have the class repeat friends out loud.
- Put the first picture on the board and have Ss to describe:
+ What do you see in the picture?
+ How many people are there?
+ What are they doing?
- Then present name of two characters, Hi, I’m Ken. Hi, I’m Ozzy. Say and have Ss to repeat. 
- Go on with the other pictures. 
- Have Ss to open their book, play the CD and ask the children to listen and read.
 - Then play CD again with pause and have the children repeat. Play the CD again with books closed and pause after the questions for the children to answer.
- Point to each characters in the story and have Ss to say their names, and then have them to write the answer in activity 2.

- The children are in front of the class to introduce themselves. The whole class repeats friends loudly.
- Describe the pictures.

Activity 3: Students’ practice(12’)
Mode : T↔Ss, Group work 
1. Act it out:
- Ask 4 children to come to the front of the class. Give the children labels with the characters’ names. Play the CD again. Have the children act out the story, step by step. Repeat with different children. 
- Ask the children how they can be friendly (smile, share, be polite). Allow the children to answer in L1 to help them understand the important of the value.
- Repeat the value of story: Be friendly.
2. Values Project: Make friendship tokens (in workbook, page 7). 
- Have the children some group of 6, then guide them to draw and cut 6 smiley faces, write their name behind the smiley face and pass through the group while saying Hi. I’m.Let’s be friends! Make sample with one child Hi. I’m Thuy.Let’s be friends.

- The children come to the front of the class to act out the story.
- Answer the teacher’s question.
2. Do as the teacher’s instruction to make the smiley faces. Practice saying Hi. I’m.Let’s be friends!
